What do you guys do when the factory paint won't come off? I'm getting what I call the "ghost effect". Most is gone but there's some still there that just looks seriously faded.

I use 91% Isopropyl alcohol and have been soaking for about 4 hours but it just doesn't want to come off. I've switched out the alcohol twice and scrubbed the crap out of the pieces. Can someone share some tips?

I hate when this happens and I really don't want to have to paint these pieces to cover it up.

Ive heard brake oil dissolves all kind of paint

Years ago i found an old open can at home and tried with a TM Terrorsaur chromed piece, all the paint was gone after a day or so and i dont remember the piece becoming brittle

    Didnt do further tests though
