Hey guys I need your opinions. Should I keep going and take off all the silver? Take off the flames and just leave the hood and roof silver. Leave the flames but strip the roof and the vent. OR paint the grill and the vent silver?

I agree with icefox, they do need silver or black paint. As for the silver on the sides, top, and the top of that vent, I'd get it off. What about the rear? Does it have silver paint there too?

I'd loose ALL the silver, except maybe on the hood scoop and roof vent.

Those tacky flames on the side have to go.

Personally, I plan on doing nearly the same thing as I did to Bumblebee, except I might give Cliffy some black racing stripes.

Is it even possible to strip the silver off the roof without taking off the red? I mean, is the roof piece molded in clear plastic with red paint? Does anyone know?

Those aren't flames, those are where he's scraped off paint after calling the wrong person a traitor one too many times.

No, the best option is to find a matching paint color and paint over them.

I planned on stipping mine, but in the mean time i took the spoiler off of Bumblebee and left him without one, and put the silver spoiler on Cliffjumper. It goes well with the silver paint, and gives them different looks when next to each other!

How DOES one safely remove paint? Rubbing alcohol? Does that leave an odor?

    Agree 100 percent.

And see if you can get him a new head that doesn't scream "Bumblebee clone" if you really want him to be awesome :D

Wasn't the roof of the car made out of clear plastic? If so, wouldn't you NOT want to remove that paint?

Maybe I'm thinking of another figure... If so, ignore me...

In light of the clear molded roof, can anyone recommend a good type of red paint to match the rest of the toy? None of the paints I have are even close.
