Seems like every classics 2.0 had stress marks out of the package. Sideswipe has em on his shoulders, Ironhide on his knees. Whats up with the plastic on these figs. Anybody else have them or are mine just defective. I might exchange them when they become more saturated around here.

I wish we had some new ones around here so I could tell ya. I've been on the lookout for a new wave of TFs every time I go to the store, and yet all I see are five million Prowls and Sunstreakers staring back at me and whining "pleeeeeease take me home."

My Tankor has stress marks on his shoulders. But he sucks so bad they're the least of my problems with him.

None of mine have stress marks, and honestly, I've never had issues with them on any of my TF's. Even the one's that need extra pressure when transforming. On a side note I just saw Galvatron and Acid Storm at target this past Friday. looks like it'll still be a while before Silverstreak and Sideswipe show up around me, let alone any more waves of Animated (saw at least four Lugnut's, but no Grimlock's).

Ive only had my 1st major QC issue the other day when my GF gave me a last B-day gift, Uni. Acid Storm... There was a pin driven in at a bad angle that caused the plastic to crack at the joint where the right wing flips up. So its very loose... Other than that, no stress mark issues ever.

    I don't stress stress marks.

Get a good hair dryer (I use my girlfriends). Set it to hot and blow it on the affected area. Once it gets hot, it disappears (most of the time).

Don't think I've seen any stress marks on my 2.0 figures. I've gotten really lucky with all my purchases.

no stress mark for me but lots of other gripes...
    Acid Storm - Duplicate launchers
Sideswpie - head was backwards on the figure, wouldn't move up when rotating the hood, had to open him up and fix
Fracture (not really Universe but) one of the pins was cut too long in her shoulders, so theres a bit of a groove now, was VERY hard to transform the first few times, as the pin was slowly digging said groove.

well, a repaint of a classics 1.0, in movie packaging, but it's a recent release, only reason I brought it up. (the fact Mirage didn't have this problem irks me about it even more.)

No man, it gets hot but not hot enough to melt or do any damage to the plastic. You will see the mark disappear. Once it does, stop. Watch your fingers though while doing it.

These robots are pushing 25 years old. I had stress marks WAY before 25...but I digress, no stress marks here.

I had that pin problem on my Uni Prowl's knee. No way to fix it, and repeated transforming would've eventually broken it right off. Had to get a replacement. Which had tacky paint. :(

I've noticed some stress marks on the sockets of Uni Tankor's shoulders.

Welcome to the new era of Transformers figures ! ...

Animated, The movie line and Universe has poor plastic quality ... nearly all of my movie figures got it, lots of my animated goods aswell ...

I think that Hasbro is saving on the plastic materials, now when Transformers have become such a well selling toyline. To increase the sales on figures we will buy again, because our old one broke.
I think they are kinda cruel for slagging around like that ...

That's just my oppinion trough ...
    No flamming please ...

What he said. Or, if you're like me, and can't wait 30 seconds for the hair dryer to do the trick, take a lighter at it's lowest setting (high enough that it will still light) and hold said stress marked part as close to the flame as possible without touching it. I recently received a Henkei Thundercracker that had a stress mark on the blue connecting piece right between the chest-halves. Did this and the mark was gone in about 2 seconds.
