After looking at Tech Spec's Alt Streak, I decided to try swapping parts with Ricochet.

It's insanely easy to do, and the result is pretty neat, for both of them!

All I need now is an easy way of getting rid of the hood, doors and spoiler decals.

I know it was discussed when Ricochet first came out, but I can't find any relevant info about it.

    Can anyone help me out?

Isopropyl Alcohol should work for removing the decals. Soaking the pieces for a few hours is the best way to go.... the paint should just wipe off easily after that. If soaking a part isn't practical (like if it is attached to other parts you don't want to soak), scrubbing at it with some alcohol on a soft cloth can work too. At least that has been my (limited) experience.... I'm sure wiser and more seasoned kitbashers on this board have even better suggestions! :)

Part-swapping does look really nice on those guys, particularly the black hood on Streak. I also like how you put a black trunk lid on him, but kept the silver spoiler. Sharp!

Ricochet is pretty bad like this. I think I'm gonna buy another Ricochet and just rub off the decals, leaving me with a sexy black Subaru! :D

I just don't like that look...Streak looks pretty damn hot on his own, with all that red and silver. The black doesn't do it for me. Whatever floats your boat, though.

It's not really a question of wether or not Streak looks good . It's simply to try to recapture the look of G1 Bluestreak.

I think both versions look great. If I ever find another Streak I might get it (I'd try to get the second edition, with the left-hand style steering).

    looks good Banshee :thumb

I plan to get another Rico to use instead of using my existing one, which means ima have to bash the leftover Rico into something... may make my own character but not sure yet.

Like I said the dye job I did on streak did not turn out as well as I thought, so ima just bash that too. So that makes two new characters to think of :thumb

I did the same thing, except I left the original trunk lid on though.

I've found that Ricochet is good for all kinds of parts. He not only donated his hood, roof, and rear windows to Streak, but he donated his legs and forarms to BT* Alert. I'm gonna try to put the silver hood on a Smokescreen, but I can't get the green paint off. It's alot more stuborn than the flames on Ricochet. Anybody got any suggestions? Or should I just use my Smokescreen test shot? I don't think I could sell it for anywhere near what I paid.

    Thanks for the props guys!

I still don't know what I'm gonna do with my leftover Rico... Might just use him for parts.

Mad props to Vanishing. Man, that is one sweet dragon deco!

    How'd you get that done?

I'm thinking of putting something like that on an all-black Ricochet. The white decals would really work with the Bot mode.

And I like what you did with the spoiler :D

you can give streak, smokescreen's blue hood as well. Just used the same technique to take off the paint aps.
