Finally finished downloading last night. One of the most impressive demos I've played in a long time. It gives you the whole first level, plus unlockables for finishing the demo multiple times. I had no interest in the game before playing the demo. Now I plan on buying it on release day. The graphics are about what I expected for an Unreal Engine game. The fun is in the gunplay though. There's nothing quite like sliding down a 3 story railing in slow motion with a shotgun taking out a half dozen baddies.

Is the demo out yet for us PC gamers? And if its out, is there a DirectX10 version?

I too have become interested in this game, I hear a lot of praise from people who have played the demo, so it might be worth checking out.

Been playing it the last couple days. Game seems like it could be a lot of fun. Diving on top of a wagon cart and then proceeding to take out a bunch of guys is awesome.

The destructible environments are great too. Blowing up a sign to have it fall on a group of baddies is pretty satisfying. The demo gets real fun when you unlock the "Hard Boiled" difficulty level.

    I kinda echo Joe's sentiment.
I was aware the game was coming out but not too interested.
I DL'ed the demo just because it was there and now I want the game.

I also want to watch Hard Boiled again.
I don't have that movie, but I do have Replacement Killers -it'll have to tide me over.

EDIT -2000th POST! Is TFW2005 gonna send me a prize or something?

Yeah, played the demo on the 360 and I think it's awesome but I think I'll pick up the PS3 version for the Hard Boiled movie on the disc.

The demo was fun, I just don't see myself playing an entire game like that. It would just get too repetitive. I'll just play the demo over and over when I feel the need or when it's Tequila Time.

I wonder if there will be Tequila-rangs or a Tequila-mobile. I'm holding out for some Tequila-shark repellent.

Also, I love his spin move. It's amazing how much ones accuracy increases when they are spinning in circles?!?!

Difference between Stranglehold and Gungrave is in Stranglehold, you actually have to aim...and move. Gungrave was ok but man, being able to walk into a room, hold shoot and watch dude flip around and shoot everything up was kind of ridiculous.

I thought the graphics were fine, but the animation is goofy as hell, especially when he slides across surfaces.

I like how everything feels right on the tip of my fingers, this game reminds me so much of the old PS2 shooters like Max Payne 1&2, but the physics and destruction is so damn good. Damn I can't wait for this month to end so I can get my hands on the full version.
