Hey guys, what are your strangest TF toy finds? My strangest one has to be earlier when I was at my local Wal-Mart, which is notorious for having the worst stock of TF toys out of any store around me. So I was browsing the usual empty pegs where there should be Cyberverse toys and I decided to look up and what do I see? A 2008 Universe packaged Cybertron Brakedown! I mean what? It was only a buck too So, what are the strangest finds you all have had?
I was in Zellers last week & saw one of those animated two pack, this one having the translucent Lockdown & some little fucker.
Not really strange but I grabbed Voyager DOTM Megs, Ops, Sentinel Prime & Cannon Force Ironhide for $4.60 each at HEB. Got all 4 for the price of one!
Well after Christmas 2 of the 3 "local" walmarts had ROTF Leader Jetfire's and Prime in stock and I know that they didn't have them in stock in November... I thought that was a bit strange... Must have lost them in the stock room.
When I went out looking for toys prior to Christmas, the two TRU I visited both had ROTF toys. And these toys weren't from the final waves or HFTD line, but they were early waves released the same time as the movie. They had Skids, Mudflap, Barricade, Ravage, Chromia, and a couple others whose names escape me.
A pair of ROTF Voyager Grindors at K-Mart last week on clearance for $8. This place didn't have this thing on shelves all year, so it was odd.
Heck last year (FEB 2011) I seen 2 Leader Brawls at Kmart right when I got back into collecting bought 1 left the other 1 sit... still kicking myself. "High" price toys don't move very fast around my area and that's IF they make it to the stores
I guess finding rts deluxe figures at Borders while they were having their closing sale was a bit odd.
Not really strange but more like surprising. Found a RTS Lugnut a few days ago at my local Wal-Mart. It still had tape and some wrapping paper attached to it, so it was obviously a return. I don't recall ever seeing that wave at Wal-Mart though...
Found these back in July in some antiques place, forgot to add G1 Beachcomber to it. Made it even better was the fact it cost me $3 after the 70% booth discount the dealer had in his/her section.
