I fairly frequently come across things I feel like sharing for TFs on ebay, thought I'd try a thread on it...

...lol saw a pair of prime fists go for $36 US...

...An auction for a g1 jetfire gun is ending in an hour and it's already going for almost as much as I got jetfire himself (one armor piece, no gun) for a month ago ($20, got mine for $28)...

...I saw a lot of decent but not great stuff go for like $450 the other week, I was wondering what was going on as it was worth $150-200 absolute tops. Then surprise surprise there it was relisted a day after it ended, but the user had put a min bid of $250 and of course no one bid...

I had a smashed up G1 Grimlock box (just the box) sell for 100+ US on ebay. I've had several things go for double or sometimes triple what the original Buy it Now price was set at.

But on the other side of the coin, I recently had a 100% G1 Darkwing sell for about 6 bucks so its kinda strange on ebay some days.

Being an oddity collector I found some strangely cheap items on ebay quite frequently. There was one time where I bought a 32 piece lot full of the strange TF merchandising items like, cereal bowl, kite, coloring books, birthday cards, etc for only $30. Then I got extremely lucky and managed to find the G1 Megatron Microphone for really cheap, I think the costs for both I bought is around $50 which I have seen it sell for over $100. There are several things that I have bought because they were mislabeled in the title and I manage to buy them for cheap since nobody knew about them.

Cybertron Galvatron and Leobreaker have broken the $100.00 barrier.

Yeah, WTF is with the Leobreaker craze anyways?!?!

I saw the LOC-type Leobreaker go for over $20...just doesn't make sense...

I got a near minty blue cliffjumper for $23 shipped.

And yeah, the Leobreaker thing is just baffling...my son wanted one but there is no way I'm paying that much...I got him Lioconvoy instead (He calls it Leobreaker and has a blast with it :D  )

    Galvatron's breaking $100???

Omega Supreme instructions are going over $20. It's baffling to me.

I saw a G1 Jetfire in used condition in a beat up box go for $250+ a few weeks ago. The last 10 or so auctions I watched for better conditioned Jetfires have gone for about half that. So I was suspicious because I've never seen such ridiculous bidding on such a cruddy looking Jetfire in the face of countless other nice ones going all week long.

Suspicious of shill bidding, I reported it, but I heard that no suspicious activity was proven, so it was apparently legit.

Ebay prices are insane. For instance, about 2 weeks ago on Ebay Australia a really good condition G1 Scorponok from a known good seller went for $50 - he was 99% complete basically just missing Zarak. Next week a new almost 0 feedback guy shows up, lists a Scorponok under like "giant transformer" with each of his pictures clearly from a different source. It does have the Zarak and ends at like $180. WTF?

Most I ever got for an instruction booklet was 63 dollars US for a Fort Max instruction book that I paid .50 cents for at the comic shop. Either some folks are nutty when it comes being a completionist, or they don't know you can get instructions online nowadays.

I was AMAZED that I got it so cheap (My max bid was about $200!) and the seller listed it well..."Minibot Transformers Blue Cliffjumper". Even had over 100 views so I was sure I had a fight on my hands...but no one challenged for it. $18 + $5 shipping and it was mine :D

I sold a few Leobreakers before X-mas to help buy some X-mas gifts (don't hate on me for scalping, I had to make ends meet :)  ). One of the Leobreakers I sold, sold for $138 US.

    Ebay:
I've seen that and a couple other NEO vs. sets (Mach Kick vs. Arcadis, for example) go for as low as $2.99 with $4 for shipping. Insane.

A couple months back I bought a MISB NEO Survive on eBay for only like $15 including shipping. Every other Survive i've seen in the last few years (and that's not many) have all gone for well over $50+, and most have been MIB at best.

eBay is a true enigma. It's great for rare deals, but then a real bitch to find things you really need to track down sometimes at a good price. It's really hit or miss, you have to watch things like a hawk on there, and who has the time?

Some of you have found some great deals!
