So, my friend told me that he saw PRID Bulkhead within the last 15 minutes of Target closing time, and he ran to buy it after the intercom said "Target will be closing in 5 minutes", and then I had this idea.

At the end of TFcon last year, about 10 minutes before the dealer room closed up, I passed a table. The table had a few guys from Armada and Energon on it, so I looked over some repaints I didn't have. The guy turns to me and says "I don't feel like packing all this up. Everything on the table is free."

I obliged him, but in retrospect, I should have taken everything, not just the complete stuff.

 

I had a friend bring someone over to my house one day, he saw my collection, next time I saw him he insisted that I can have his DOTM - Leader - Bumblebee that his kids bought for him. I tried to say no, I even left it at his house when I left. He came running back out to my car and basically tossed it in the window and then left. He still hasn't given me the backpack/gun that goes with it but, whatever...

 

I killed a man once. ROTF Legends Prime was in his pocket.

 

Thanks to a glitch on the Hasbro site back in July 2011, I got 14 transformers for free. All because the glitch took the total price of the figure and had the same price as a discount, thus cancel out the price.

Then back in 1996 I think, I got G1 Astrotrain from one of my brother's old teachers for free.

 

About 7 years back, I found a the robot and plane/backpack for G1 Gunrunner in the lost and found at the store I worked in. Since I did not want to selfishly deprive a child of his beloved (and hand-me-down) toy, I waited a full 3 weeks to see if someone claimed it before I added it to my collection. I NEVER thought I'd find a G1 TF that way.

 

That's pretty awesome.

I guess he really hated Bumblebee.

I saw a kid playing in the park with some movie Transformers. He asked if I wanted to play. So I picked up Optimus and clubbed him with it until he stopped moving. Got some interesting stuff from the event...

And I am a horrible person for thinking this is funny (because it's completely fictional).

 

Took some Japanese clients out for dinner, they gave me a DOTM Japanese Bumblebee!

 

I found a Happy Meal Armada Lugnut in the snow while making a delivery. I almost ran over it.

 

Weird joke, but still a good one.

 

I was at Kroger with my Grandparents once. Saw Cruellock for sale, asked for the figure, they bought it for me.

3 years later, I gave the damn thing away and now I regret giving it away.

I ordered a Jetwing Prime from an online store, showed up at my front door, perfect. Not too weird right? My credit card statement comes in and I was only charged $14.99 (shipping) for the figure, even though the invoice showed the full cost on it. Thinking perhaps I had the wrong credit card, when my other statements came in I checked those and no charge at all for the figure. I went over past statements and also went over statements I got for the next couple months to see if I would get charged. Never happened. So I got charged S&H for a Jetwing Prime and nothing more. Tried e-mailing them but never got a response back so I gues that was them saying keep it lol.

I found a 2007 Movie Legends Starscream in the street after a particularly shitty day at work. He was dirty as hell, and the few minutes I spent cleaning him up at home really helped me calm down.

 

I was attending my cousin's wedding around 6 years ago, and while going around the local mall, I went inside a small toy store that sold of kids toys and some old marked down ones. When I went looking around the back, I managed to find a Flash Lio Convoy still in box (a little worn though) for like $12  

 

I once told my brother I cleaned his RTS Cyclonus for him so he gave it to me.
Apart from him having no bicep swivel RTS Cyclonus is one of my favorite Deluxe-class figures.
