Mixing the first movie with the Cybertron series doesn't exactly seem like it would fit at all with the new movie universe. But hey, after ROTF who the hell knows what could happen.
Yep. Even mediocre films can be really fun to watch just for intergalactic environments and battles. See: Star Wars prequels.
Personally I don't think it's anything that's going to show up in the next movie. It's just not untidy enough for BayFormers.
Junkions? Lithone? Now I understand what they meant about Prime and Bumblebee getting new models. I guess Bumblebee is going to be a VW Beetle and Prime will have bright blue windows.
WIN !!! Remember, Going back to the mythos (Transformers 3 to bring Core Mythology to the fore - Transformers News) ?
Looking awesome. I would love for alien or space scenes in TF3 to shake things up. Also, alien species that are enemies of the Transformers have been shown in the movie comics, so it would be cool if this expanded off of that. If this has anything to do with actual TF3 story of course.
Strange... For the first time since 07, i have hope in transformers live action movies : o ! There's still room for them to ruin it entirely, but if these sketches are indeed real, they excite me in ways ROTF concept art never did. (Reliving my experiences with TF2 set art) "Oh *chuckle* more desert..." I don't want them to entirely retell the 86 movie, but i want to see a movie-verse take on the plot- Oh wait... guess we already destroyed the matrix so they'll have to be doing something different regardless xD All i know is for the time being, i'm giving this movie its fair shake. Im not letting the painful lingering memory of ROTF ruin my opinion of this film before it even comes out. I recognize potential, something TF2 was lacking from day one.
In light of the junkion stuff, there could be just the faintest echo of quintesons in those enemy robot sketches, and the temple picture. If TF3 became a reworking of the animated movie, that wouldn't be a bad thing. I find these pictures exciting! Either way I hope we do get junkions!
interesting stuff love the Junkion / Wreck-gar but i can just hear the epic fan rage if bay is doing a remake of 1986's The Transformers The movie
Yup. Sounds like the art was made in 2009 right after the sequel was finalized and they're saving it for TF3 or late art for ROTF which didn't get used for it. Could be wrong, but sounds likely enough.
So..what will be the bigger backlash? When people don't like this space direction for the movieverse, or when it all turns out not to be used for TF3 at all?
Nah, it's video game stuff, not tf3. Bet you anything. -They'd never let anything this big from TF3 leak, it's all under non-disclosure aggrements and lock and key. Anything that was gonna be used would never go up on the websie or the artist would be sued out of existance.
Looks interesting for sure. Setting at least part of TF3 in space would be a nice change of direction. Although, I'm sure some humans will end up in space, as well. I doubt it'll be only robots. On another note, that Junkion looks cool. Hopefully, we'll get a toy of him if the art is used.
Jungle planet could be related to: Beast Wars? Transformers Cybertron cartoon? Having a piece of the 'Avatar' action?
Depends what you mean. Is it real concept art by a real concept artist up on his website? Yes. Is there any reason to believe it really has anything to do with TF3? No, not really. Is it likely to have anything to do with TF3 given non-disclosure agreements and such? No, Not really. But I don't think you can really call it fake info since the source never claims it's related to the film. More, it's folks jumping to an unlikily conclusion. -ZacWilliam, no unused or upcoming video game stuff that I mught buy...
