I saw on TFW that Austraila TRU selling Ghost Starscream MP...kinda surprise me...

I'm strolling my local TRU and I see they're selling Walgreen exclusives Warrior from 3 worlds boxset....Is this common that stores sell another store exclusive?

BTW walgreens sold it for 19.99....

I think that's common in the UK too.

I thought MP Ghost Starscream had a general Asian release. If so it's not really an exclusive.

I remember that the walmart website was once selling the TRU reissue of G1 Ultra Magnus last year.

It wasn't actually Walmart selling it last year, it was another store using Walmart as an intermediary (like Brians Toys and BBTS selling their stuff through Amazon)

About a year ago, I found the 2007 Wal-Mart-exclusive "movie classics" deluxe toys (Big Daddy and friends) at a Houston airport gift shop, with a new sticker covering the "Only at Wal-Mart" one.

Over here TRU exclusives sometimes end up in other chains like Smyths and Heatons. I picked up the Cybertron Voyager Starscream & Vector Prime 2 pack from Smyths and Movie 1 Voyagers Mudflap & Inferno in Heatons.

I'm betting that these 3 packs showing up at TRU means that they will be in an upcoming ad. Perhaps at a "deal" of 50% off or something. Same thing happened last year with the Universe Voyagers and Ultras.

How many are you guys seeing at your local stores?

Thread is won. That makes total sense. Dollar General used to be great for the G1 themed spychangers and energon limb scouts. I've recently checked closeout stores like TJMAX and ROSS locations for great stuff includeing some discounted toys R US exclusives, GIJOE vehicles, and late wave stuff like Animated Voyager Wreck gar for $11.99 and Human Alliance mudflap for $20.99. Biglots can be helpful as we approach Christmas: Found tons of GIJOE Resolute comic packs there last weekend. Though they usually carry knockoffs. I think biglots was the first store to carry the battle begins prime versus megatron classics deluxe pack (dvd less version) before dollar general got it.

Winners, a chain owned by the same company as TJ Maxx (filling the same nice in Canada) has had other stores excess stock of exclusives. This year they've had the ROTF Whirl/Bludgon 2 pack. In years past they've had the Classics DVD 2-pack with the bonus mini-cons. And they had that Costco AT-TE christmas pack.

Over here, store exclusives are carried by pretty much any place that has toys. Hell, Toys R Us and another local brand, Toyland, both had the US MP Starscream and the 6 inch Iron Man 2 figures. It makes it a lot easier to get the quote-unquote exclusives for us.
