Hoqw do you guys even remember what your post counts were?

 

This is the sort of thing one retains in one's anus....

 

Mine got mysteriously fixed in the last few days. I wasn't sure if it was Kickback or not, but whoever it was knew better than I did how many posts I used to have  

 

The real question should be "Why do they care?"

 

I also agree that peopel that keep PMing Kickback about postcounts should be set to 0.

However I think postcounts can serve a good puropse. Even though I have never used the Junkion Exchange yet, I might be more willing to buy something frome someone who has been here for a long time and with a good postcount. It can mean that this person cares about this site and the people in it enough to post. Do not get me wrong I would also look at the Junkion feedback section too.

Also I will once again thank Kickback for fixing mine when he did it. I appreciate it.

I think people who gripe about getting their post counts back over and over should end up in the minus post count range. (ex: -2311 posts, they did that to people who were banned at a MB I used to visit years back)

I think that post counts and join dates are important as a substitute for reps (which were tried here and failed miserably). While people should never ben written off as "just newbs", it IS important to know who ahs been around for a while as an actual contributor. That being said, don't whine about your post count being nerfed way back when, and especially don't be a pain in Kicky's ass about it. He was very nice about fixing people who asked before the deadline. It's your own damn fault for not being fast enough back then.

 

i don't remember a single change in my postcount because of someone modifying it, my postcount decreased 2 times when the forums where i usually posted got erased (IOTD, transformers funnies, etc) and that happened exactly when i left the board for like a month or two  

the lesson of today is...... never leave tfw2005 or else!!!!  

now i'm sort of a lurker here, i'm afraid that if i post constantly on other forum it could get erased    

post counts are useless, if you want to know stuff about a user just check his profile or read his posts....

 

You clearly didn't read the thread, that was in response to someone saying "How the hell did some of you guys even remember what your post counts were anyway?", so how would you assume I was bashing Kickback with my reply makes no sense....

And the idea that join date/post count automatically tells one how important/worthwhile someone's post is going to be is just silly.

 

Look at my post count. Now look at my join date.

Is it possible to just remove the post count of the people who are PM'ing you.

 

I'd like my "among other things" fixed too.
