You should post a list of all the people who keep doing this, so that we might publicly shame them for harassing you about their epenis.

 

Some people just can't take a hint, and I don't know being beat over the head with a thread a while back about you weren't fixing post counts >.>;; Post counts really are not that important, i'm suprised you guys just don't get rid of it all together so there is nothing to complain about...Mods giveth and Mods taketh away

It's a bunch of numbers. If people see it as a way to show how important they are or how respected they are, they've got things wrong I'd say. It's now how many posts you make that brings respect, it's what you're saying in them that is the important thing.

If anyone doesn't believe me, I'd be more than happy to let a mod reduce my post count to zero to emphasize my point.

back in the days of PIGN, people used to just post pointless crap to boost their count (we had no fuzzy world to serve that type of purpose unfortunately). We called it post-whoring, and actually banned a number of people for it.

Why not just do away with post counts altogether? I realize that any difference would be negligible, but wouldn't it reduce the strain on the server ever so slightly not to have to keep track of that anymore?
You can retaliate against the people that complain to you through PMs by fucking with their settings (custom titles that read "I'm a tool" or something).

 

Trust me, that will start more problems that it's worth. It's funny the first time or two that it happens, but it leads to a lot of 'F*cking mods' threads once they start to notice.

 

Ok, then just get rid of the post counts. If they're that uppity about them, then not having them anymore may be punishment enough.

Seriously though, I agree with just removing post counts. All they do is keep track of how many posts a user makes. Not define the size of their weenie (tee hee hee)  

 

If only their post counts could be permenently set to 1.

 

In the whole time that I had my sig set to "PM me and I will fix your post counts!" only one person PM'd me. Kinda sad, isn't it?

I'll go ahead and add my name to the list of people who want their damn post counts fixed. I mean, I don't know what the hell the big deal is, all you are doing is changing some numbers. When you think about it, it's really less of a hassle for you to fix my post counts than it is for me to have to sit here and see a number that does not truly reflect the actual number of times that I have posted on a message board that reflects how popular I am in real life somehow. More to the point....this is a rant to make fun of people who want their post counts fixed.
