Looks like it will be important after all!
While this is cool, why do they have to use every major thing on earth? Pyramids in Egypt, Moon landing, Dinos being wiped out, and now Stonehenge AND Knights. I didn't have an issue at first because I know that Knights and Cyberbtronian knights would make a lot of sense together. But, now adding Stonehenge just makes it too intentional.
Also, is Isbaela done? I remember someone saying she was, and now it really seems that she is because I haven't seen her at all.
It's not quite known yet whether Moner's filming is done or not. Although her Snapchat posts may indicate otherwise. Just speculation on my part.
I rather like that they use these kinds of things. It's not all that far fetched. I mean look at Stonehenge and the pyramids and the moon landings and all of it, every one of them are historically tied to myth and alien conspiracy stuff that in some way "Aliens" had a hand in. So all they are doing is using that history and making those "Aliens" TFs.
Maybe Squeeks will back into it like Clark Griswald.
Does anyone know why couldn't they shoot on the real Stonehenge like Thor 2 managed?
(Please ignore the nymphomaniac in the above clip, he was spaced out )
So confirmation that the movie is going to blow up Stonehenge
Put me in the camp that likes making movies more international. Only so many times Hollywood can destroy one of the American cities Hollywood always destroys before it starts feeling like been there done that. Also a nice touch to have something English that isn't London. Eventually even London starts feeling like been there done that.
since the writers have shown us they were researching other versions of the franchise for inspirations, I wonder if they got the stonehenge idea from the giant omega lock from the rust sea in tfprime ... they do kinda look a little alike ...
I have a feeling they will be filming there at some point but they need a replica set for.... reasons
Or maybe they're building off of how it was used in an early version of the AOE script . . .
Because: blockbuster movie ?
I was showing my bandmates the Transformers movies over the summer, and our trombonist actually thought it was a great novelty that every movie is essentially an alien/historical conspiracy. He loved it.
Hoover Dam: Transformers
Modern Technology: Transformers
Egypt's Pyramids: Transformers
The Moon Landing: Transformers
The Extinction of the Dinosaurs: the Transformers' creators
King Arthur and His Knights: Transformers
What will they do next?
Given that we don't know the time line of the film you have to wonder if part of the reason for building a replica could have something to do with how the site has changed over the years. If you wanted to show the site at an earlier time period it's not like they are going to let you modify the real site.
Doctor Who got to film at Stonehenge back in 2010 for its fifth season finale.
Maybe it gets blown to hell. :L
The Standing Stones...
i'm waiting for Roswell! Gotta be a reason why Cosmos looks like a UFO
Imagine if an alien probe probe was on that set too.
Cool to see this new set being made. Not surprised at all though, seemed like an obvious move for TFs to go to. What I find fascinating is that a scene near Stonehenge was in the leaked TF script from years back.
Yes it was in that script.
