Really not feeling these personally. I truly hope that’s a half way stage in Prime’s transformation rather than his alt mode as well. At least Windblade isn’t hobbled by the horrific Starscream mold.

Ouff that Acid Storm is going to be a hard sell even to a kid. That green is just not doing it any favours.

hmm.. I dig that Windblade. Might pick her up because I missed out on that TR version.. and this one looks like it will scale better with TR Fort Max.

edit: side note - why are they giving some of these knees and some of them no knees???

    They look okay.

The reason as to why some have knees, is entirely based on the Gimmick, Starscream's mold needs to have stability.

So what is Windblade's gimmick? "Cyclone Strike" sounds like it'd be the same as Starscream's...but it doesn't look to be.

Windblade like Shockwave (granted I don't have Shockwave) actually looks decent, a rare diamond in the rough if you will, and I think I'll pick the figure up just as a Windblade fan and to add her to my Windblade collection.

And I also might pick up Acid Storm.

Its a shame about those gimmicks, but at least Megatron looks decent otherwise. Windblade and Shockwave seem to avoid hindrance by having their gimmick affixed to their backs.
Doesn't explain the Seeker mold though.

I got to admit , the Cyberverse presentation is nice. That packaging makes me want to buy them all.

Love this line , it looks fun, full of character, and I get to skip it all since its for the kids. $$$ saved.

That’s it. Scout class toys aren’t designed with a proper alternate mode in mind. There is no way to fully transform them, only partly ‘transform’ them into a half robot, half vehicle hybrid.

God knows why Hasbro thought this would be fun for kids to play with. This is a blatantly shameless cost cutting measure through and through.

I suppose they would be okay if you don’t care to transform your toys and only have them in robot mode as if they were Action Masters.

They should really have brought back sticker sheets for this line. Remember how plain and bland the G1 toys look before you applied stickers to them due to their lack of paint? These invoke the same feelings, only they don’t come with stickers to make them more visually appealing. I appreciate reprolabels for doing sticker sheets but we shouldn’t have to rely on them.

    Acid Storm! Fuck yeah!

I was already sold on Thundercracker, Acid Storm is an instant purchase, if they do Sunstorm I’ll have an impromptu set of Rainmakers. And that’ll probably do me for Cyberverse.

I've been one of the first to defend Hasbro's differentiation between collector and kids' lines, but honestly I'm finding it hard to be positive about most of these. There just seem to be much love going into them, not when, for example, all the seekers are just Starscream repaints even though their animation models (1 male, 1 female) are different from Starscream's, or there's faux parts on figures when the base design's simple enough to make a screen-accurate transformation.

When he describes the gimmick, I wasn't aware that in the show she uses that to fire projectiles. So the different features on the Warrior Class figures are starting to make sense. They're stock attack animations that highlight a feature that's recreated on the toy.

Which is marketing 101 if you think back to how the Minicons during Armada would also have a similar stock animation for connecting to the robot.

The Seekers have typically always been Starscream repaints. That's literally why they exist, to sell kids on the repainted molds.

Hell, Beast Wars did the same thing. The first two protoforms to arrive on Earth were a Cheetor repaint and a Tarantulas repaint.
