Tyrese is an idiot and has no idea what he is talking about. I seriously doubt this.

no way spielberg would waste his time with TF.
when you have the ability and clout to create your own ideas, you aren't going to be satisfied jumping on someone else's.

if indeed a "Transformers 4" ever is made (highly unlikely) and is directed by someone else...

then finally the stupid term "Bayformers" will become obsolete and go away

I could watch 3 more transformer movies directed by Spielberg. Heck these movies are making mad amounts of money. If I was him I would direct.

*shakes head* Tyrese, tsk tsk tsk.

I see nothing in that article that says Spielberg will go anywhere near the director's chair. A whole bunch of ifs, coulds, shoulds, etc.

No. If there will be a TF4, the chances of him directing are next to none. Producing? Sure. Directing will end up being someone else's task.

I'd like to see a Spielberg transformers movie, but this article doesn't really give any indication that it's a real possibility.

Tyrese is the only other actor I believe about the twins not being in it. The other was shia. So now I truly believe it.

Who ever said Megatron would actually keep his word and go off to live in peace? He can always come back.

Not to mention there are more bad guys out there than Megatron who could turn up.

Plus the novel is not an indication of how the movie might end. Remember RotF and how that was resolved?

    Considering in the ROTF novel
it ended with Megatron raising the Nemisis after feeling betrayed by his own master.

Sadly, all of the directers I have heard off that are good have already been named.

On another note, is anyone else curious about seeing the Quintessons(sp?) in Live Action?

No thanks. I think Spielberg would focus even less on the TF, and more on humans. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think we're better off with Bay for TF. Ugh did I just say that?! Wait..wait...somebody stop me...I'm about to say something else that I can't believe. I think Lucas would be a better choice than Spielberg. Whoah, wtf! Lucas is into the digital effects, and not so keen on working with human actors, so I think he'd try to focus on the TF too.

I don't think he will be directing but I imagine whatever happens he will stay on as an EP.

He's talking nonsense. Speilberg is never going to direct a 4th film of a franchise he only produced. The man has more integrity than that.

And, deep down, he must know that #2 was shit.

    REBOOT!

George Lucas would be good as well. He and Spielberg have worked together before.

Well... if a fourth movie was to be done and im inclined to believe there will be one, this would be the best time to now add into the mix Autobot city. The Autobots will save the Earth in 3 so Im sure the humans would nelp build them a proper base of operation of their own. Bring in a bunch of new Autobots, Magnus, Hot Rod, Springer and other Wreckers maybe to watch over things as Optimus and the others head back to Cybertron as they have gotten a call from Megatron that Cybertron is now on the right track to recovery and all along, its a trap! Unicron would have resurfaced, taken hold of Megatron to continue where The Fallen failed, given Megatron his new powers to be Galvatron as the Megatron of old is just to beaten down from the last 3 movies and now both Cybertron and Earth are in trouble. Optimus and his small Autobot group fight their way off Cybertron once more to get back to Earth while Magnus and the Wreckers protect Earth from Unicron's forces. I know it all sounds too G1 but it could work if more (not so G1ish) elements were added in.
