OK Heres my rendition of steampunk(SP) cliffjumper. I have to add color to him to bring out his more steamish qualities. Unfortanately all i have to work with are my libraries computers. I want to add burnt red, Gold, and Gunmetal colors to him. I dont want them to look like they have painted chasis. I will have to wait to get a nice marker and color pencile set also i will add more steam exhuast pipes.

I choose that the SP minibots have landed on an earth thats almost all desert so I made CJ into dune Runner. Bumblebee and Beachcomber will both have dune bugy aesthetics but drasticaly diferent. Bumblebee will be more volks and beach will be more thunderdomish.

also its hard to see but his alt mode is at the bottom of the page

    C and C welcome
    thanks for looking

Very nice drawing. Both modes look great. Can't wait to see BB and BC...gotta love that little metal hippie :D

My only small complaint, is that the right leg looks like the knee is locked. Maybe it's just me, I just prefer having a slight bend at the joints.

Thanks folks. I gave him some color this time around and i hope it brings him out more.

the quality is no where near my true skill level but all i got to work with is computer paper
    and cheap colored pencils

I absolutely dig this design! :thumb

As far as working with your medium, you can get a not-rough/crayon finish with colored pencils. Instead of lightly coloring with them, just use a little extra pressure and fill in all of the white space. You can blend colors this way too.
