    The Steam Holiday Sale

There's a massive sale on Steam, right now. Tons of games are on sale, some up to 80% off. Besides the regular games on sale, they're also having special daily deals that can go up to 90% off.

I made the mistake of looking at that myself. Now I can't stop buying.

This is why I'm afraid of logging into Steam.

I'm doing a pretty good job of holding back. I'm limiting myself to around $20 for the entire sale. So far, I've bought Mirror's Edge and Battlefield 2. If there's nothing else I like in the daily deals by the last day, I'm grabbing Bionic Commando: Rearmed.

Good thing you posted this. I seldom log on to Steam but this persuaded me to finally buy Half Life 1 (I've never played the first game. Went straight to the HL2 Trilogy)

Damn you Freemans' Mind... damn you...

I almost wish I didn't have some of the games on sale now, like L4D and L4D2 due to their prices. But nothing would have replaced all the fun I've had with them, so it's fine.

Right now, only one I'm getting for sure is Arkham Asylum.

I ended up with Torchlight and the BF2 collection. I already owned all of the BF2 content but running it through steam seemed like a worthy purchase at $7.50.

Yeah, Torchlight was the reason I ended up on the site and saw the sale. Pretty decent title for 10 bucks.

I just got Day of Defeat: Source and Zombie Driver for $2.49 each. I'm pretty much waiting till the last day of the sale, to get anything not part of the daily deals.

Just got Zombie Driver myself. After seeing Torchlight for $5 yesterday I'm not buying anything else unless it's one of the special sale items. Then on the last day of the sale (if I have any money left) I may shop around some more.
