Here's my small G1 oriented collection consisting of a single displace case, a couple of shelves and a desk.

My main goal was to be able to display in both robot and alt modes without the display case looking too cluttered (it's still a bit cluttered for my taste but oh well)

These are a mix of originals as well as reissues. The lighting is rather poor, so I had to use the flash for most of these pics.

I couldn't resist buying a Warbot Defender since I've always liked Springer but thought the G1 toy was just too crappy looking in all modes. I admit it's a bit weird displaying a super articulated new toy with G1 bricks but hey, it's my collection ;)  And if any of you wondered what Warbot displays like with G1s here is your chance to see it.

One last thing that I'll mention is that I've always liked the idea of the Autobots having red eyes and the Decepticons having blue eyes in the cartoon. If you'll notice, I've made stickers for several of the bots eyes. Just gives it a little more detail. Although it doesn't really show that well in these photos.

    Anyway...... onto the collection.

entire display case [this is the same display case shown twice, side by side to show off both modes]

MPs (Megatron has G1 Megatron's scope, since the mp version is ridiculously oversized in bot mode)

very nice G1s! oh, i thought theyre all originals..which ones are original G1? very nice collection, very nicely displayed too! that G1 scope DOES look better on MP megs... good idea, i didnt realise it'd fit...or did u mod it? and i have MP walscream too :D  lol
edit: they should seriously do a classics blitzwing..and G1 astrotrain looks much cooler than the classics one, imo :D

That is my plan as well. One Detolf filled with Transformers. It makes me much more selective when deciding what Transformers to buy. If I start to run into problems then I'll get rid of some to make room.

But you have a cool collection. It's all about quality over quantity in my book.

nice collection. you are correct, that G1 scope looks better on the MP megs than the one that comes with it. As does the kremzeek in his hand!

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'd love to be able to display the entire G1 line, but I simply don't have the room or the funds for that matter, so I just picked out all my favs.

The original G1s are Punch-Counterpunch, Sandstorm, Chromedome, Astro, Blitz, Insecticons, Mirage, Sunstreaker and Wheeljack. And of course Sixshot, Mindwipe and Weirdwolf. The rest are re-issues.

As far as the G1 scope goes, I simply used a double sided strip of tape to mount the cannon.

Very nice looking collection setup. I've been wanting to get some cases like these. How kid proof are the cases? (As far as getting into them.)

What? that's crazy talk :D  Yes yes, for those who don't know the WST Menasor comes with 2 Computron figures (Afterburner and Nosecone instead of Deadend and Wildrider) These are KOs afterall.

The case is fairly solid, the small metalic handle is located near the top of the case, so a little over 5-feet off the ground. There is a slight space between the glass running along the entire length of the case however, so if your young ones take after MacGyver they'll pry it open eventually ;)

very nice set-up. I like your display cases. All of my guys need to be dusted every so often because they are just hanging out in my displays. You have a very clean look to your set-up and the alt/robot contrast is VERY cool. great job
