Thought so. At times though it seemed like they had him slow it down a little so the kids could keep up.

Yeah. I think they just took the character in a different direction. In Animated, Blurr is pretty much "Mr. Exposition", catching everyone up on all the major plot points of an entire season in a relatively short time (and basically sounding annoyed at having to do so), where G1 Blurr (especially season 3 more than Movie Blurr) was "Mr. babble inanely and repeat lines several times in a row so it can be said fast for the sake of saying it fast." :)

What did you think of StarbobScreampants? Or the constructicons? Swindle? Oh and yes the withdrawals ached so bad I decided to watch the Unicron trilogy, it was good, until energon came along I don't like to talk about it.

    P.S. Favorite Autobot and d-con?

    Let's see.

Starscream was pretty spot on. The Constructicons didn't really do it for me, though I do like the use of the proper names. Swindle was PERFECT!!!!!

Autobot has to be OMEGA F'n SUPREME, Decpticon, Soundwave.

I love how the whole OS battle, Omega was the only one who thought weakly of himself.

Well what did you think of the NEW characters?

Bulkhead, Lugnut, Sentinel Prime and Lockdown?

Bulkhead has really grown on me. I didn't really like him at first but the big guy has really grown on me.

Lugnut is your quintessential Blindly Loyal Moron. It kinda works considering I can't think of a time when Megatron has had someone like that. Sure Soundwave was loyal to a fault, and so was (Cartoon) Shockwave but they were both intelligent. This guy is a loyal lamp post.

Sentinel Prime is a Douchebag, there is no getting around that.

The fact that Lance Henriksen does the voice makes Lockdown ROCK alone. The fact that the character is great makes it even better.

See, I wouldn't quite agree with that analysis...I don't actually get the impression that Lugnut is unintelligent or simple-minded per se, more that he's a fanatic who sacrifices all of his mental energy into his devotion to the cause, including his rationality. To draw a comparison to Beast Wars, it's basically the difference between a Scorponok-type and an Inferno-type; both are ultra-loyal, but whilst you could outwit Scorponok simply by tapping him on the wrong shoulder, I think an Inferno or a Lugnut would actually be pretty resourceful and cunning within the remit of their master's commands...

I suppose I could see that. In some ways it's like he's a follower in Megatron's Cult.

Lugnut is a lamp-post? Am I the only one who saw him pull some crazy shit on the battlefield such as that time he used his engines to stop the sandstorm in Lost and Found, order missions and know when a trap is coming, something Blitzwing couldn't do? He is clearly the superior Decepticon of the bunch!

Plus he actualy gets some originality points for taking the loyalty thing to a WHOLE new level, in fact, I saw some parent-friendly-christian-site review of the Season 2 DVD saying that the villains "worshiped a fake god", I wonder who the old lady was referring to!

    Link please!

As for Lugnut, I don't get the impression that he's much of a soldier, but a good fighter blindsided by his utter devotion to Megatron. I think Megatron recognises Blitzwing as the superior soldier, as he chose Blitzwing to accompany him to take down Starscream and to retrieve the Constructicons.

Don't get me wrong, I think that Lugnut is absurdly powerful, and quite possible intelligent, but too single-minded to be a truly competent soldier. Let's face it, if there's something Blitzwing isn't, it's single minded.

Spoon: Family Friendly Gaming Transformers Animated Season Two - Transformers Animated Season Two DVD Transformers Animated Season Two Movies

"The evil characters worship a false god, destroy, act selfish and plenty of other normal bad behaviors."

About Blitzwing, these are good examples, but it just seems to me that Megatron just trusts Lugnut more, most of the time at the base he tells Lugnut to do stuff x, in Autoboot Camp it was Lugnut who was taking care of the communication with the traitor, the whole "I'm a head so I'll contact Lugnut" thing, and Lugnut actualy shows alot of brain power sometimes, in fact, he was the only one who actualy thought that leaving Sumdac alone in the base would be a bad idea in the season finale.
