Heh, Casper Van Dien has not aged well.

Anyways, the bounce line he makes at the end and that quick flash of a mechy looking thing. Are they going with the exo-skeleton suits the infantry wore in the book?

Either way, it looks terrible. I can't wait to rent it.

    Sorta-spoliers:

He's selected to test a "secret weapon:" the Marauder. So yeah, I'm guessing it's gonna be sorta like the book.

    Ignorance is bliss.

It was bad. Really, really bad. Not in a fun way, either.

I saw ST and said, "no way Heinlen wrote a turd that bad- the book could not have inspired that crap. i felt like i was watching the O.C. or something. pretentious, wannabe Robocop styled drek.
Casper had a crush on a ditz, hot red head dying to lay waste to his virginity and he acted gay toward that and it wasn't until he got dumped via email that he tagged it and then what? she gets poked by a big ugly.
add doogie howser and you got....Turds.
the only goods were: Michael Ironside, Jake Busey and the Drill Sargeant.

so 2, and i suppose 3 are gonna be in Big Lots together forever.

I pity CVD; he's kinda like Brandon Fraser. he started out big, then did a string of snoozers, got a boost from a special flick, but is now stuck in sequelville. sadness.

Nah, you're not. I'm really looking forward to it... not to mention, I am REALLY glad that they are putting it all on one Bluray, so that I can buy 1, which i REALLY want on BR, and getting 3, which looks a hellovalot better than the abismal 2.

I'm definitely getting the Trilogy Blu-Ray disc. I love the first movie, the 2nd movie was bleh, but the 3rd one has CVD which at least gives us 1 original character from the first movie. Plus, it has the giant bugs again, unlike the 2nd one. Also, those enlistment commercials are awesome. :lol

I've never read the book. But from what I've read about it Heinlien did write that. It's just that the movie makers mixed his story with fail and got a really brian dead action flick. The book was really cerberal and politcal.

And for a bit more on that, watch the Roughnecks CG series. While not nearly as cerebral as the book, it definitely deals more with the soldiers, and less with crazy action.

Huh. Don't remember a hot, naked blonde. Though I think I may have blocked most of the second movie from my memory.

While the addition of powered armour makes anything better, I have one question: what happened to that new gun from the end of the first one? The one that blew a nicely sized chunk out of a cliff face in one shot?

Is Jolene Blalock intentionally carving out a niche in third rate SF or does she just need a better agent?
