I opened this MIB 20 year old toy to do this.
Full repaint of the ship with washes and lots of details then I applied the over 40 tiny stickers with tweezers and a toothpick.
    Its only about 10" long.
I love the little rooms and tiny figures of the show. Kinda makes up for the fat saucer section.

I've been thinking for a long time about scratch building an Enterprise Transformer from a much larger model. Thought I'd see if anyone still cared about Star Trek first though. :)

Neat. I have the light/sound Enterprise D and Klingon Vor'cha from my baby years (dated '92 underneath) and the new reboot 1701 (displayed up near ROTF soundwave, which looks good.)

A good Trekformer would be neat... doesn't need to be anyone, just cool.

I would kill for a kick ass Ent E crossover, as well as a Tron Legacy Lightrunner Crossover, I bet between those two molds someone could make some really fantastic figures.

Edit: boy I don't think I would want to tick off Riker in the pictures:lol  walking around the ship with a drawn phaser lookin all crazy.. Hah!

mmmm the way the dish of the Enterprise D detaches from the engines it would make a really nice cosmos + booster pack.

Thanks guys. I'm still having some trouble working out how to make a transforming Enterprise D. So far I plan for the saucer to detach and become 2 curved swords and a shield so the rest becomes a robot. Getting the robot's proportions to look good even in plan sketches isn't working well.

Very nice, plus the TF Spock is wicked cool. I have the Defiant version, but I don't recall ever seeing this playset in the MicroMachine line. *Sigh* they were such cool toys. As far as Trek TFs, honestly, I would so love to see that suprememly awesome and gorgeous green starship on the Ent viewscreen truned into a TF...

I would love to have anything from a Star Trek Transformers Crossover line, but the design of Starfleet ships makes it very hard to hide a robot.

The design of that particular starship would possibly work for a transformer because it has so many existing seams and complexity. Something about the original or D Enterprise makes it tougher for me to engineer a robot mode though. The original would likely end up being lanky and/or proportioned funny. The D is what I want to turn into a transformer, but it's sleek surface design and shape is giving me hell.

I'm thinking of starting with a small one made from a 5 inch Enterprise D and a few basic sized TFs.

Yeah, the Galaxy-class is hard, but not impossible, I would think the easiest would be Mirandas, Constellations, Intrepids, Excelsiors, Akiras(or any ship from FC), and (obviously) shuttles. Actually, now that I think of it, every ship class is doable, but the TOS and refit TMP Constitution-classes...
Oh wait a tic, I'm I wrong, but didn't Kellogg's have a transforming spaceship premiums back in the 80's?? Starbots I think... I know they had one that looked like the TOS Connie.
Anyway, I really look forward to see what you do.

Oh how my namesake would love a Constitution Class TF..,guess what my name is ;) . No it ain't Spock. If anyone here is looking to put this marvellous idea to drill and glue may I suggest starting off with a shuttle?

Great job. I'd forgotten all about that playset. I would love to see a crossovers too. Since it has the seperation mode why not make it, and say the Prometheus class combiners?

I believe there's still a lot of support for Star Trek out there. I've been tempted on several occasions to dust off one of my sealed Enterprise D kits and buy this sticker set I've seen on eBay. Costs about $100, but you really don't have to paint anything. There are somewhere near 1000 stickers that cover the entire model. Very cool looking, just pricey. They also have a set for the Enterprise E.
