He only spits when he's disgusted, like the previous poster said. He spits all over Sam in ROTF and DOTM, and spits once when he mentions Optimus in ROTF. Other than that, he doesn't spit. And Starscream was intelligent. He realised Megatron had failed and abandoned him...like a smart person would. He wasn't like the "herpaderp" Decepticons who stood there and got airstriked in ROTF, he flew away. Yeh, he let Sam escape a few times, which eventually got him killed.
What I want to know is why his mouth moved like it was a bag in the last scene in ROTF before he and Megatron flew away.
Because Megatron asked Starscream for the news and all he gave instead was the weather. That jerk. Besides, Bayscream's mouth isn't dead, it just migrated over to TF Prime and took up residence in the new Starscream's stomach. I'm hoping it doesn't spit and drool this time. That'd be just weird and creepy.
I think he only does it when he's expressing his disgust for humans. To me, Starscream always came off as a character that hated humans and simply wanted them to all die.
Well, in other scenes with him you clearly see his mouth open and shut. But in that particular scene I mentioned, it looked like there was some sort of membrane shielding his mouth as he spoke.
it's suppose to make him look menacing like he's a menacing decepticon like taunting sam and all, i know why but i don't know how to explain it
