STARSCREAM VS SOUNDWAVE!

I love both these decepticons! which one is your fave out of the two?! and why!? thanks for your input!

Soundwave. I'm not like all fan girls, who absolutely go ga-ga over Starscream.

I like Soundwave because he has the most coolest voice and awesome alt mode, with all of his cassette minions.

It has to be Starscream. I know that Soundwave is an emensely cool character -- and against anyone else he would win for me -- but Starscream is far, far more brilliant! His almost excessively Machiavellian persoanlity is just too delicious. In this case, Soundwave is not "superior".

 

Lets put it this way, which one was getting crowned con leader in the movie.

Starscream may have died, but his Spark survived! Who else can say they survived death like Starscream did? And I so want the coronation upgrade kit for my MP Starscream!

I figure it would be Soundwave. He's not as ambitious, but he's shown a much better aptitude for long-term planning and has a much better track record of not getting killed/maimed/beaten. Just because he doesn't show off his plans, doesn't mean they're not there.

 

Starscream may be "killed/maimed/beaten" on a regular basis, but he always comes back. That's the beauty of him. He dies and comes back and continues plotting and scheming. Starscream, put quite simply, rules.

 

I like Soundwave. For some reason I always liked the bots who have mouth plates (faceplates).

 

Laserbeak should get all the credit. Ravage, Frenzy, Rumble and Buzzsaw are just kind of fodder. I mean they're cool as shit, but Laserbeak did all the dirty work. And I can't even count how many times Megatron commanded Soundwave to send Laserbeak.

Soundwave - he's got an awesome voice, his minions and some awesome abilities to boot.

Starscream - great blend of comic relief and serious villain, and he's so iconic they actually named the treacherous lieutenant trope after him! Granted, his whole routine got a bit repetitive, but the character himself was awesome.

Soundwave and Starscream play off each other so well - one's serious, the other a joker. One is loyal, the other a schemer.

 

Starscream is my favorite, mainly because he's the ambitious one, and was the ONE Decepticon who wasn't a blind Megatron follower... Everyone else just followed Megs beck and call even though the dude hadn't made significant strides in a million year long war. Plus his voice was the illout...

Soundwave is still probably my second favorite of the original Decepticons... cool team around him, awesome voice, and he's super intelligent. I always thought him and Starscream wound have made the Decepticons far more lethal if they got rid of Megatron and lead them together.

 

That's a whole level of wrong that isn't going to leave me alone tonight. Especially as I know remeber saying to my girlfriend-at-the-time "You can't have Megatron without Starscream, too" when I bought the movie toys...
