It happened it last Xmas or the one before. I saw a 12" SS at Target. Original price was $99 or more.

Anyone have a pic or know which one I am referring to?

No idea what you are talking about. Im sure they had the Supreme Cybertron Starscream, but it was $49.99.

Pretty bloody amazing how people can only see things in their own currency around these parts... rather short sighted if you ask me.

Cybertron StarScream was fairly large (around 12") and retailed for about $99 AUD.

Considering we don't know where the OP is from in his profile, and that he's referring to Target, a store that's fairly commonplace in North America, I don't think its that far fetched or short sighted.

Doing a little bit more snooping, I found his first post:

Didn't know Walmarts were in Australia, selling MP Primes for $14 US.

With a few alterations....the guns on its midsection could rotate up to face out in robot mode, and rather than two swords it had a bigass cannon on one side, and the sord on the other. It has electronics, two planet keys, a gold earth one and the Decepticon one and of course the crown patterened after G1 SS's from the cartoon movie. The transformation is the same.

I would have got more but I wanted others to have the chance at getting the same great deal. In hindsight I should have bought 2.
