Is there any solution to the terrible loose ball joint that connects to the door panel kibble? It drives me nuts.
put some super gule on the ball and let it dry before u put the paece back on and it should be fine after.
Cool idea. I don't have nail polish but I'll give that super glue idea a try. You mean like the ones for plastic models? If the first treatment doesn't do the trick, is it a good idea to apply another coat or is that a no no?
Umm, what exactly do you mean by "like the stuff for plastic models". I hope you're not talking about modelling cement, because that won't work. That stuff is formulated for Polystyrene plastic, and works by temporarily melting the surface of the plastic, causing the parts to fuse together. The areas in question are ABS plastic, so not only will it not work, but it won't have the effect you want, either. You just want off-the-shelf superglue. Active ingredient: cyanoacrylate.
With the way it needs to roll around, I plan on gluing a thing piece of styrene on the other side of the socket, as that seems to be the direction it pops out at. But that's a bit more complex.
I just use krazy glue. Just dab a little, put the piece back on and wiggle the piece until you feel it getting tighter. If still too loose, just repeat. Make sure you wiggle or move the piece around, otherwise you just glued it. Here's a good video.
I didn't do anything to mine. I paid 60 bucks for that thing, and I'm not lathering it with super glue. Wait... yeah, just cover the ball with a thin layer of super glue and let it dry. That usually helps me.
i dont see the big deal about the balljoints being loose, its not like im gonna play around with my starscream. I just leave it for display purposes so it's not a big deal.
