Starscream finally mentioned that he is the second in command of the Decepticons. I never heard him say that before. Back then I thought Starscream was like Terrorsaur just because he wants to be leader not that Terrorsaur is second in command. What do you think?

While starscream is a bit of a backstabing baddie, he is probably stronger, more skilled and does possess leadership qualities that would make him second in command.

And think of it this way. How better to control your minions than having a second in command you can totally dominate but keeps the rest of the minions from rising up. None of them can go for Number 1 untilt hey take down number 2.

There is a reason Starscream was always around as Number 2.

Lugnut as second-in-command is an easy choice, being the fiercely loyal servant that he is. Though Lugnut might not be very capable as a leader...

    How about Blitzwing? :lol

I can see Lugnut in that position. He did well enough bossing Blitzwing around in Lost and Found. Add to that Megatron wouldn't have to worry as much about him trying to take over.

    Megatron :: I should've considered about this..

Lugnut seems to have the necessary qualifications.

However, it may not be a bad thing to have someone who doesn't always see eye to eye in the number two spot.

Lugnut is too dependent on Megatron to be 2nd in command. He'd just keep waiting and asking for instructions.

I get the feeling when Shockwave turns up, he'll get the job.

ALthough maybe Megatron will just decide he doesn't need a second in command.

Lugnut could work, more as someone relaying orders to the rest of the 'Cons than anything else. He did boss Blitzwing about, and showed that he knows how to get things done (grabbing Blitzwing and flying off with him).

I doubt Megatron will go for a second-in-command now, he's already been betrayed once, maybe he thinks the taste of power may lead them to seek more.

Blitzwings blue/calm/ice face could work well. He's pretty smart, tactical and obedient, pretty good in a fight too.
Red/angry/Ahnuld face could work, but he may be too angry and hasty for the job.
    Crazy face would fail, hard.

Lugnut gets my vote, he'd also be a pretty damn good Bodyguard, providing the thing he was guarding was nowhere near him (in case he needs to use the P.O.K.E)

It's good to see that at least this Starscream seems like he SHOULD be second-in-command. Even as a kid, I couldn't for the life of me understand how Starscream had such a high rank when he was such a bumbling wuss in G1.

    How about Lockdown or Prowl?

Not Decepticons already but Megs would be offering a change of company with a promotion, permanent contract, probably medical and dental, lots of rising up, crushing accursed things, a lot of job satisfaction and, at least comparitively, a woman in the office to impress.

Lugnut is more of a goon than a leader
starscream keep megatron on his toes and sharp.Without that he would lose his edge.

I'm sure Starscream will remain an important character- I could easily see him leading a contingent of Earth made decepticons, who know nothing of the subjugation megatron preaches about and ergo have no reason to follow him.
