I think one of the strangest mystery of Transformers prime is that Starscream has red decepticon logo. I have two theories why Starscream has that red logo. The first one was that the Starscream we see is the Shattered Glass Prime universe Starscream who unfortunaly when he traveled to the normal transformers transformers prime universe he got captured and brainwashed by Shockwave. The second theory is that Normal Prime universe had swapped bodies with his shattered glass counterpart

    Alternatively, it's just a colour. That's it.

Then we should see the other decepticons using different colours for their logos rather than just purple. In the transformers universe red logos demote the good guys (Usually the Autobots, although in the shattered glass universes, the decepticons are the good guys), while purple logos demotes the villains

After TF1, Red and Blue logos became futile and instead during TFA we had Gold Decepticons and Silver Autobot logos.

I highly doubt it means anything at all, but it stood out to me immediately and I've been hoping it's subtle foreshadowing of him joining the Autobots to defeat Megatron (and Airachnid, and MECH).

I think you're reading too much into it. As far is we know, there isn't even a "shattered glass" universe in this continuity.

    Not all.

Plus it's not like that invalidates his example. It's just a colour. It means nothing.

plus, soundwave in this show has molded blue decepticon logos on his shoulders (i believe, similar to arcee on her wings). red is just red..dont think it looks any more looking into

Its just another part of the homage to Movie Starscream.

In TF1, Starscream also has a red Decepticon insignia on his forehead. Seeing as Prime Starscream's body is based heavily on MovieScream's head/face, its fitting that he should also have a red Decepticon symbol.

I suppose I or someone else could supply pictures if needed.

I never saw a red logo on the movie starscream head. In my view the traditional purple decepticon logo would of been better

The characters who's logos should be a different colour to their faction's standard logo, would be Bulkhead and Wheeljack as in this verse the two are (ex)wreckers and the wrecker's logo is a blue Autobot logo with a hammer on the forehead

If there has to be a reason beyond it just being color choice (the most logical reason), it's probably as simple as Starscream having been a former Autobot before joining the Decepticons.

According to the "Prime is the same continuity as the Cybertron and Exodus saga" theory, he was a former Autobot

Yeah, that's what I said. Though it's technically not a theory, it's Hasbro's official stance, the Aligned continuity.

Wait, but in WFC, when Starscream changed sides, the Decepticon logo was clearly purple
    God, this is confusing.
