    Hello everyone,

I am looking into an ambitious project with leader class Starscream.

Last month I was at a fleamarket and bought a junker-leader Starscream for 2 euro's..
I have no airplane Transformers cause they never are in scale and they always have way to much junk hanging under their fuselage..

I am a mildly sucessfull repainter and can do a lot of stuff when it comes to modelkits.
leading me into a project I have in mind...

Putting leader class Starscream into an actual kitt of the F22 without exessive underbulk and a more accurate alt mode.

    how hard are you laughing?

So this is the junker I have:

And this is the model I bought:

it is the Italeri F22 Raptor in scale 1/48 bringing him much more in scale with the Studio Series.

I do have several ideas witch bring a challenge on their own:

I am planning to reverse the head and put it in the cockpit rather than the fuselage.
That should save up 25mm in the fuselage any ideas how to do this? I know the panels there can move around a bit and if I rotate the head it should fit in there.. but how and any ideas?

If the head fits in there, I could remove the complete baterypack and speaker and such
Opening up 4 more centimeters... Why go trough all this trouble? well...

    LEGS!
I would like to find a way to add Screamers leggs INTO the fuselage instead of under it as they are now.
bringing up the issue of how the frack I am going to do this.
I could also look for a way to just put the arms forward and then use the room where the arms were to put the legs and keep the legs in the same location..

Ideally I would use as much from the original Starscream as possible since I like his robotmode a lot.
Any talented modder out there with some ideas?

Good news is I do have some more room to spare, the Leader toy is 32 cm while the Italeri kit is 39 cm.. that should give an arm and a leg more wiggleroom...

You trying to make him transform? That'll be cool. I don't know much about kit bashing, I so wish I could help. The only feedback I can give is that you are onto something...please keep updating your progress!

Yes, Basicly I want to use the leader screamer I have but fit him in a more acurate and properly scaled altmode.
I have ordered him so once I have it, ill update.
The thing that worries me is relocating the arms and legs. The head might be easy.

I think there is one other jetfire rebuild, but I ran out of time looking yesterday.

I will look into it, thanks.. I do however need to review it all for Starscream.. he really needs a good representation trough, he was the one Decepticon that stayed true to his altmode
