The common criticism about G1 Starscream is that he was always shallow/one-dimensional, and he never had any special reason for wanting to betray Megatron. Which leads to my main subject: I've heard that the Movieverse Comics---before Bay made the epicfail sequels that turned Starscream into a pointless/useless wuss who never showed a single hint of treachery---I already know the comics at least succeeded in keeping him in-character while still being incredibly badass, but apparently, they were actually creating an idea behind his character, giving him complex reasons for his treacherousness. If anybody here has read the Movie-Comics, can you elaborate on how the Comics were portraying Starscream, and what exactly was the depth that they were trying to give his character? Motives/Intentions? ETC.
