And the 9th chevron leads to this massive gate factory ship that the ancients built. That travels the universe building gates and making gate networks in differnent galaxies. And has a complete record of every gate ever built and where it is (although this was implied and not stated directly).

Good thing they're only airing Doctor Who and aren't in charge of making it. Oh well, more money for new hit shows like Flash Gordon. :rolleyes2

I liked Flash Gordon. And they canceled that last I heard so giving Flash money isn't the reason.

I miss the days when they used to show Godzilla film marathons.:(

Their own network-made movies suck complete ass. I'd rather see them use old fashioned monster effects like we see used on Scare Tactics, than their incredibly shitty cgi effects.

Shark Attack 3 pretty much makes my point:YouTube - Shark Attack 3: Megalodon

Oh, and for all you Stargate fans, I support you in your times of anger. Stupid Sci-Fi, canceling their own successful shows. I hope their decision comes back and bites them in the ass big time.

Yeah, I know. I was just using it as an example of the poor quality programs that are likely to take Atlantis's place.

Such a shame. I was likeing Atlantis more than I thought I would. At first I thought it was a lame attempt at cashing in on Stargate. However it won me over with good script and good character interaction. I will miss it. The ocasional "movie" will not fill the void that a regular season of shows would have filled.

The problem with that theroy though is that Flash Gordon was, y'know, good. ;)

That seems to be theme with the Sci-Fi channel though. They're movies are shittacular, but they're actual shows are usually pretty damn good. I never really got into the Stargate shows, but when I did catch them, they were very entertaining. Great characters and interactions.

My roommate is gonna be pissed.

I'm going to flood their CEO's office with thousands of peanuts!!! Oh wait, that only worked for Jericho (another great show with an untimely demise :(  ).

Damn you SCI-FI!!!! Don't mess with the 'Gate!!

Looks like the cancellation of Atlantis has greenlit Stargate Universe:

Also, the decision to cancel Atlantis was mutual, according to Executive Producer Brad Wright

If they came to that conclusion about 8 years ago, I might still actually give a shit about what happens to this franchise.

I think you mean Enterprise, as it was canceled in its fourth season. Voyager ran for 7 seasons just like TNG and DS9. And I wouldn't say it's turning into that at all. Enterprise was canceled due to continually declining ratings. Atlantis on the other hand usually gets high ratings and it is one of Sci-Fi's best shows.

Good to hear Universe has gotten the green light at least.

I think he means Universe will be a lot like Voyager in terms of premise.
