I think that most fans who still bemoan these toys have never given them a real chance and only look at them and say they suck.

The Boba Fett toy was awesome and not only transformed well, but was very articulate too. I'm sure the same will go for Jango.

I've bought each one of these and will continue to do so just for the sheer amount of work that was put into them. And tho it's off center for both licenses, the line does show what Hasbro can do with a little motivation and alot of money. :D

I'd count the Clone Pilot as a good guy since the only time we saw him was before order 66. I'm still wondering if we'll get a Green Anikin as the Darkside version of him.

Not really good pics, are they? Can't really tell all that much.... Still lookin' forward to Palpatine and the Clonetrooper, though.

And yeah, I noticed that the ranks are slated in favor of the bad guys-- about darned time, I say!

I am definitely getting cloned pilot cuz the bot mode is sweet looking. I have Fett, Grevious, and Maul and must say they aren't as bad as people proclaimed them to be.

i don't care how many chances I give them I will never like them because I do not want to buy a cross-line of something I Love mixed with something I could care less about...namely star wars toys...love the movies, however the toys are of no interest to me even if they do transform...and as a bonus...they are FUGLY.

What makes the Fett mold so good? I have Vader and really like him, and also Obi-Wan, though I haven't opened him yet. It just think that the Fett mold looks strange because of the huge barrel body and skinny appendages. So can anyone post pics, or describe why I should get one?

Personally, I think the Fetts and Luke Skywalker are the uglies of the bunch. The others I like to varying extents, however.

Due to the design of Slave 1, there wasn't much they could do about the overall shape of the body at a deluxe scale. That said, the arms fold completely into the wings and look true to the original model. Also, the way the backpack folds out of the ship and works is very clever and gives the character it's trademark flightpack. And while the weapons look closer to Jango than Boba, having the ships main guns become pistols for the robot works and complaments the whole design.

They remind me of the 'Amalgam' line of comics that DC and Marvel put out about 10 yers back. 'Super Soldier' was a combination of Captain America and Superman. 'Speed Demon' was The Flash mixed with Ghost Rider. For some (like me), this was absolutely great stuff. Even the lame concepts (Bullets and Bracelets, anyone?) intrigued me a bit. Some ignored them, but there was a large vocal group shouting. 'Not in continuity!' 'These will never appear again,' 'Why are they wasting their tim!' etc, etc. SWTFs are the same way. I'd prefer if those who hate the entire line would just ignore threads that have to do with them, but this being the Internet, that just ain't gonna happen. Howzabout we contain the hatin' to specific points about the toy ('I hate Chewie's sombrero') , rather than the standard 'Stupid idea, I won't buy them' posts. As for me...I'll buy 'em. I like 'em a lot more than the BW toys. I especially like the vehicle modes, and the Emporer and Clone trooper continue that trend.

I've yet to find a Star Wars TF i've liked, but I may be willing to give that ARC-fighter a shot.

I personally like Vader and Luke the least.. Luke is just plain bad. Grevious is fine if you get a good copy of him. First one i had was floppy and loose. I gave him an F in a review and returned him. Got a new one a few weeks ago and he rocks now. Much better.

My faves are Boba and Anakin molds. Maul is good too.

The Anakin mold works VERY well for repaints into transformers. Heck he works well as a SW Hot Shot..
