So this is going to open really soon, but is anybody hyped to see this?

I've visited a few Str Wars sites and the Star Wars fans feel as if it was a bastard child from the franchise.

Reading enough negative comments from fans about this movie, I stopped going to web sites that discussed the movie. I've always been looking forward to it, and after seeing the battle of Christophsis clip, I want to see it even more now.

Dunno. The trailers scream direct to DvD to me. I can't imagine it doing too well. I"m not excited about it at all. Not like I was when eps 1-3 came out.

I wasen't intending on seeing this, but somebody else is paying and I owe them for scrounging a lift to a couple of movies they woulden't have gone to otherwise

As for the Star Wars fanbase, I woulden't pay any more attention to the majority of it then I would to the majority of Transformers folks. Anyone who defends the prequel movies in one breath and then condemns a CGI cartoon based on them in another is clearly lacking any sense of irony.

That's kinda normal. I mean, In every fandom, there's usually some person or group that dislikes everything new.

But c'mon, you know there's people out there who are all "BAWWW IZ NOT ACCURAT 2 ORIGINUL TRILOGEEEEEE AND CHINZ TOO BIG AND ZOMG GEORGE LUCAS RAEPED MAH CHILDHOOD!1!!!one1!".

But anyways, I'll probably see this. It looks decent.

I am going to see it on opening night. My Son is really pumped about it and I think the trailers look fun.

I am a little surprised that they choose to do it based on the Clone Wars. I am a little Anakin-ed out if you know what I mean.

Interested, but not enough to see it in the theater. Slapping what was always intended to be a TV show onto the big screen doesn't make it a movie. That, and the Clone Wars has been done. I'm more interested in the live-action show that takes place between III and IV.

Besides, Tropic Thunder comes out this week. 'Black' Downey Jr. > CGI Anakin.

From the commercials, Anakin's apprentice seems like she would get on my nerves REAL quick. I know TV spots and trailers are cut sometimes in a different light than the movie actually is, but better safe than sorry in this case. I'll want to see it on the rental shelves.

No interest in seeing this at all, having read all nive volumes of The Clone Wars that Dark Horse put out (best thing to come out of the PT imo) I see no need to see a basterdized version that fucks with the continuity as it is.

I'll be passing on Clone Wars. For me, it does not look interesting or appealing at all, but just plain repetitive.

I'd be more interested with the further cgi adventures of Luke Skywalker and gang than anakin.

    You are the freaking man.

But I'm gonna see it, just because it can't suck any worse than any other movies this summer so... why the hell not?

I'm putting this on the same category as the Mummy 3. It'll be fun. It'll be pretty, but I'm not expecting an Oscar-worthy performance out of it. Seriously though, it can't be worse than Episode II.
