It fits with what Lucas has been saying: A show about the lower parts of the galaxy [i.e outer rims], like the Hutt criminal world, thus, UNDERWORLD.

I just hope to see Rahm Kota, Cad Bane and Hondo Ohnaka in this show.

I'm kind of hoping that this show gets used to give closure on the whole Starkiller character (since Sam Witwer implied he might be involved), what with TFU3 in Development Hell and all.

I hope so too, but RAHM KOTA is my main concern, I consider him the best character of the whole TFU franchise and the best not-movie character of all time [hell, he is my second-favorite Jedi except Yoda].

Specially because he lived through all nineteen years of the dark times, so it doesn't matter when the story is set, he can appear.

I don't like the subtitle, but it's Star Wars and I will watch it for sure if it ever gets made. I think it will be a long time before we get this show. They've said that they want each episode to feel more epic than the prequels. If there's one thing that anyone can't deny about the prequels, it's that they have awesome special effects and action scenes that still hold up today. It will be much harder to get money for this now after Terra Nova underperformed with viewers.

    :lol  Nice.

Anyways, I'd like to see the enslavement of Kashyyyk, the invasion of Dantooine, and Han and Chewie's first meeting.

I have to disagree with this. The prequel trilogy effects were horrible by comparison to the original trilogy (the pre-cg remastering versions). Nothing moved naturally and anything that did move always seemed to move as if it had no real mass to it. Everything also seemed to look too 'clean' so to speak. Surfaces were always shiny or too clean to be natural.

I really think it's only been since Clone Wars came out that they have started to effectively create more natural looking CG (even though the overall style has remained very much that of a cartoon)

Personally the less CG anything they have in this new series the better as far as I'm concerned. Spend the time on the story and the acting and not on the fancy effects and I'll be happy to watch this show.

One thing that not a soul can dispute is that the prequels had better fights, AND THAT is one thing they should retain for this live-action series.

No seriously, the OT fights don't even come close to the PT fights.

And the first to come to say that the OT fights had more "emotional weigth, thus its better" gets shot. in the face.

I agree. Watching the OT these days, Vader has really awkward, non-urgent body movements during the duels.

yes but the prequels ignored the most interesting part of star wars...

    Han Solo. :lol

what he SHOULD be doing, is a series based on a YOUNG pirate/smuggler, Han Solo.

Honestly, I like the OT fights more. Not because they had more emotional weight, but because they weren't so, well, over the top. Looking back at the Prequel Trilogy and all the subsequent SW media influenced by it, the Jedis were waaay too overpowered. :lol

Wake me up when they actually make it. 50 scripts means nothing.

    exactly!

han solo, being chased to the ends of the universe, by boba fett!

    with chewy!

    why is this so hard?

it'd be a lot like star trek, they'd visit a new planet, in every episode! it can be set during the empire. between 3 and 4.

i mean star wars has such a vast universe to explore, and many characters that they could of focused on, like Solo, but instead the decided to focus it on the jedi.

    the "wizards" of star wars.

    well, what about the pirate/smuggler?

    he was cooler.

but why must it always be about the jedi? lol
