Removed opening post because the final shelf is complete
i say lay them across two hooks then put a wood perimeter around them, and then atach a sheet of plexiglass to the wood.
Personally, I like the first version better. I think it's a bit classier looking but that's just my opinion.
I have most of the FX sabers and they're all hanging up on the wall with the stands they came with. I do see a little bit of warp in the blades like you mentioned, but nothing I'm too nervous about.
Here is the finished shelf it is modeled after Vader's Tie Fighter.
Pictures with what few Lightsabers I have.
HOLY! That rack is AMAZING!
that's a statement I usually reserve for women, but I'll make an exception in this case.
I have to say being a TF fan and SW fan that this SW setup is just sooooooooo cool. I've never seen anything like it before.
Very cool! Oh, and
I.. um.. read through the whole post, and didn't understand any of it. So like, what?
Yeah, me too.
Allow me to explain to assit any confusion.
Trailbreaker has a love for Star Wars as well, and he he has the FX sabers that he wishes to display because the ones that come with them, plain and simple, suck. He was looking for advice on how he can display them, in a proper, yet cool looking way, because the FX saber stands have been known to cause the blade to bow(curve). So, that is it in a nutshell, he asked for opinions and any help on how to display them in a cool fashion.
