    Hey all,
Are the Star Wars figures with the gold coins worth picking up, or are they pretty common? While out and about yesterday, I ran into them at pretty much every store I went to.

I think they're rare.. at least the label "ULTIMATE GALACTIC HUNT" makes it sound so..

they come with gold coins.. and GOLD lining around the card.. which seems to indicate it's special..

edit: for some reason i said silver lining..

Of the first three, the UGH versions of McChewie and the Airborne Trooper are pretty easy to find. Animated Boba Fett.. not so much. I haven't heard of the other UGH's showing up in mass yet so I couldn't tell you how rare they're going to be yet. Hasbro claims that there's going to be 80% more UGH's on store shelves this year, but with wave 5 and 6 shipping already, who knows.

Also, if you find any in the Madison area, let me know. I have the first three but I'm looking for the rest.

I saw quite a few Airborne Troopers, and one or two McChewies. I also saw a one R2D2(the ones with the rockets/flames) in the Madison area.

Gordman's, in east town mall. The gold coin R2 was hiding behind a bunch of Rev's.

Its just another lame marketing gimmick. They did this last year with silver chrome cards and chromed stands. And no one mentions those these days. Now they do it with gold foil and gold coins. Star Wars is breathing its last breath and they'll do anything to create demand. Dont fall for it.

I had 3, but I traded them all. The only thing I'm noticing over the 06 SAGA Galactic Hunts is that people aren't selling them for high prices. Most are going for retail or up to 2x retail.

I guess since they have shown up in mass, people think they won't be as rare or worth as much.

I bought 2 more (Chewie and Airborne Trooper) but I returned them after I decided I didn't care for them, and they were gone the next day.

I haven't seen them around here, not that it means anything. Auburn's notorious for sneaky-sneaky stockboys (I should know, I was one once upon a time).

Though, if anyone runs by another minty Airborne Trooper with the gold bling... ^_~

My young son is brainwashing me! He watches one SW episode every Sunday and plays SW games all the time when he isn't playing with his SW toys :lol

SW epsiode? As in the animated series known as Clone Wars? I never got to watch the series but I've been told it was good. I was also heavily into SW but mine was the "original triology". However, I gave up after the Clone Wars...the difficulty in finding some of the clones put me off! And yeah, they were expensive also.
