Transformers Crossover Clone Wars Wave 8 - Daily Star Wars News, Reviews & Discussions Source
That Y-wing looks nice.
the bodys are looking alot better. if they would change the heads they might have something
How much cutting, gluing and painting will it take to make that Y-Wing look IV-VI instead of I-III?
Kind of bummed the original Era hasn't been getting as much love in this line. A-Wing? Y-Wing? B-WING?!?!
I'll probably pick some up when they come out.
It's awesome that they remolded the head on the Xanadu Blood to look like Cad Bane, but it looks so out of place on that green body.
Crazy-looking-Y-Wing makes me sad, but looking forward to the new mold anyway.
Interesting. The Y-Wing mold does look good, but if I were to get it, I would prefer the Pilot version that was supposed to be released last October. Xanadu Blood looks interesting, and the mold is a nice one, but his blue head looks strange on the green body. Obi-Wan looks cool, and he's possibly the one figure in this wave that I may get. I like how his R2 unit looks like it could be removed, instead of just looking like another part of the ship like previous R2 units on SW crossover figures.
On a side note, I'm personally hoping that the AT-AT mold gets re-released, or if need be, repainted, sometime this year. It's not the perfect mold, but it looks nice to me.
Cad Bane needs his hat, or no sale.
So it ain't the Magna Guard, its Cad Bane getting the retool, pass on it I guess. Didn't love the original enough for another go.
The Anakin retool looks about as boring as I'd figured. And oh boden is that another Jedi Starfighter mold? Looks only slightly different from the last release of Obi-Wan in that mold, like they gave him a new head to match the cartoon better.
They couldn't even paint his arms and legs white to match the show. Also would've looked nicer and add a little dynamic to the figure.
These things would be so much cooler if they weren't supposed to look like SW charatcers. Not that they really do, since everything below the neck is generic.
Sold on Cad Bane, even without the hat.
Pass on the rest. Though whenever the Y-wing/Clone Pilot and Anakin Skywalker/Twilight comes out I'll probably get them.
I'll get them as I always do, but I really wish that they'd make some of the obvious characters they've yet to do.
A Jawa or two that turns into a Sandcrawler.
A Tuskin Raider that becomes a Bantha.
A Hoth Han and Luke that become Tauntauns.
A Bikerscout that turns into a Speeder Bike.
An Old Ben Kenobi that becomes a Landspeeder.
An Escape Pod that inverts into a R2-D2.
An A-Wing Pilot into an A-Wing.
I could go on, but I think six is enough.
Cad bane is not naked. His body and head don't need to match!
Liking the figures in a very dull generic way. New obiwan head is ace
My thoughts exactly. I'd love to have a complete set of original trilogy rebel starfighters (and hope that they're of a much higher quality than the X Wing)
After having actually looked at the photos, that Anakin Y Wing's mech mode looks like a hideously disfigured experiment gone wrong, as if instead of post becoming Crispy McBurnVictim Palatine decided to mount his torso in a gaudy yellow powersuit.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'd like to see this line be done in the style of GI Joe's transformer crossovers (which never had toys made obviously, but the concept was better). Transformers that use Star Wars vehicles as their alt modes - the seekers as Tie Interceptors, Optimus Prime as the Tantive V, The Autobot cars as various Rebel starfighters. It would be interesting to see how they'd manage the whole two eras thing with a line like that though (Clone era as Beast Wars, Original as G1?)
That Obi-Wan head would be cool for a Wreck-gar custom
