Indeed. And any prequel or Ep 7 content MAY be featured in a sequel. This game is strictly licensed for Original Trilogy content. If you noticed, Disney is distancing itself from the prequels as much as possible. Many thinks its due to preference, but there is some red tape with 20th Century fox. So Disney's solution is push the OT, Rebels, and all focus on future content.
New update dropped last week with a new Hoth map set at night. It looks wicked cool honestly, I've been wanting to play on Hoth at night. Also noticed that the Jakku maps now take place at dusk. Looking up at the sky and seeing a flurry of red and green from the battle in space is pretty cool. Maybe they'll cycle the maps' time of day? Like I said, I'd like to play Outpost Beta Walker Assault at night or even at dusk.
I like the new Hoth map as well. It's especially interesting with Fighter Squadron since the falling snow slightly obstructs your vision.
New Hero is Nien Nunb. New Villain is Greedo. Yep. Nien before Chewie. Or Yoda. Or Lando. Or Ben. Greedo I'm less steamed about since they already had the main OT villains so they didn't have anything to work with. But still, Greedo when we can already play as a Rodian? Cheap. EDIT: Now that I think about it, Nien Nunb is another cheap shot too. The Sullustan model already exists in-game, as does the Rodian. So once again EA rips us off.
EA you were doing so well with the updates, and now you take a step back with these characters. Greedo is more understandable since there aren't a lot of villains in the original trilogy to choose from. I still would have picked Bossk or another one of the bounty hunters. Why is Nien Nunb a playable hero before Chewie, Obi Wan, Yoda, or Lando? I never really cared for his character, and he is pretty much the same Sullustan model already in the game (especially if you play on Sullust). This is part of the problem with sticking to the original trilogy too. I think it would be cool to play as Rey, Kylo Ren, or Darth Maul.
lol, is that it? I really hope they notice the significant drop in players and do something about it. Like make the third DLC an entire new game. Do you need all previous DLC's to play later ones anyway?
I have the game but not that happy with what my 60 bones payed for. Almost all of the game is multiplayer for the full interaction of the game. So since I don't have ps plus I am limited in what I can do in the game which really sucks.
New free map on Endor, set post-ROTJ and supposedly the remains of the Death Star are everywhere. No Endor holocaust? Will get to play it tomorrow. EDIT: Not enjoying it too much. I like the waterfall and the cave within, and the final area of uplinks with the Ewok tree homes. But it's hard as hell otherwise.
Yo if any of you on PlayStation keep hearing a shadow trooper laughing, that's me. I've become a real asshole since discovering that emote
Lando and Dengar confirmed as the heroes for the Bespin DLC! That's what I'm talking about! So hopefully we get Ben for the Death Star and then Chewie for the last pack? Wish we'd gotten Chewie first.
I'm glad we're finally going to get Lando (seriously we got Nien Nunb of all characters first). I don't mind that Dengar will be the new villain. The only Original Trilogy villains they can use at the moment are bounty hunters. I assume after we get Obi Wan, Chewie, Bossk, and some other villain that we'll get Rogue One DLC then.
Hell they should bring in Maul since Rebels established he was around at least four years prior to ANH. If they'd count Rebels as OT era stuff we could've had Kanan, Ezra, Grand Inquisitor, Seventh Sister, and Kallus as new heroes. Hope Simon Pegg comes back as Dengar!
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Will Tie-In With New Movies Battlefront II will probably just have content from Episode VII and Rogue One, maaaaybe Episode VIII but don't count on it. I say wait until after Episode IX for a Sequel Trilogy game. Next year do a prequel + TCW + Rebels + Rogue One game. Heroes would start with Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Dooku, Grievous, and Ventress. DLC heroes would be Rex, Kanan, Sabine, and Yoda; then Cad Bane, Savage, Maul, and the Grand Inquisitor. I'd also like to include Seventh Sister and Kallus.
