Because otherwise EA wont greenlight funding for any significant content drops because they can't monetize it beyond base game sales. No new content = dead game.

Hopefully they learned their lesson and are just doing cosmetic lootboxes, but I wont be surprised if they just come back in their original form.

 

They arent getting a cent from me. Ill just live off the daily login crates. Unless they take those away too .

Tough shit, they're making a video game and not a Star Wars themed roulette wheel. This loot box shit is getting out of fucking control and I hope EA suffers for it. To the point that Disney take the license off them and open up their projects for the IP to anyone willing to make them. As for dead games, is not Battlefront I now a dead game since it is multiplayer only and is getting no new content?

Mind if they wanted some serious, and I do mean serious, goodwill then they should get the two original KOTOR games, fix them so they work with more modern hardware and release them for like $1.

 

I don’t disagree with you that the loot box thing has gotten completely out of control. What I lament is that if it’s controversial inclusion kills any game it’s going to be one we are unlikely to see a replacement for anytime soon, and not one of the generic yearly installment titles.

But yeah, last I checked Battlefront 1 was pretty dead. Shit by the time Scariff came out the playerbase was already so massively segmented by paid DLC that it was a struggle actually finding a full game then.

 

Those load times are becoming far more frustrating. Playing arcade and you'd think half the elements would already be loaded, then they have to deload at the end of each round!!!

Not working. Right takes you to the heroes though. All I get to see are clones. I'd like to view the other characters in each class.

If you open the menu for the troopers themselves,the sub menu that allows you to select the cards and weapon to equip, that is where you can go through the other "skins" of each class. It is by default on the clones, and there's no way to change that, but you can at least view them.

 

So now bossk is on the nerf list?

I'd say Rey could use some slight adjustment as her Insight/Mind trick combo is essentially a free kill every time in HvsV, but Bossk is fine. The big problem is they're trying to balance heroes for Galactic Assault and then discovering issues in Heroes vs Villains or vice versa. They really need different stats depending on the mode.

The biggest example of stats that can't be uniform for all modes is rolling. In GA it looks pretty stupid because the second you hit someone they just start rolling like a Droideka and the invincibility is ridiculous. By all means reduce that.
Then on the flipside in HvsV the heroes can brainlessly mash attack and all the gun heroes can do is roll for their life and hope they don't get stunlocked. Try to run and regroup? You'll just get ragdolled and stunlocked. Lightsaber users often complain about the rolling and want it to be removed, but if getting shot once put them into a stun state and cancelled their abilities they'd be crying for a nerf. Its that double standard that makes it pretty clear why the Devs don't take feedback from Reddit.

 

Finn and chewbacca need nerfs if anything .

 

After their disasterous AMA on Reddit, I can’t help but feel that even mentioning the place is verboten under penalty of comping all the drinks at the next office outing.

 

Finn already got a nerf to his weapon.
Chewbacca is garbage in GA but dominates in HvV which plays to the point @Dirge121 was making.

 

Appearently some fixes went out today bc i got a fixes deployed crate with some cards and 4,000 credits.
