Didn't know if this fit better on Tech board or here, so I picked here, lol All of the Trek series, except for Deep Space 9, are on Netflix streaming now. DS9 will be available in October.
I've often thought someone should go through TNG and put a big black CENSORED bar over every shot of Wesley while bleeping every line of dialogue. He's a walking obscenity.
No DS9. No Care. LOL. Just kidding...this is awesome news...I think I'll catch a few TNG episodes tonight.
Hmm. Maybe I'll finally get around to watching the last two seasons of Enterprise. Are the TOS eps the remastered ones?
TOS are the remastered ones and are streaming in HD. Don't quite understand the delay on DS9, that's the one I want to watch lately. Most of Enterprise season 4's fanwanky episodes are pretty good too.
I had never seen the remastered TOS episodes, I watched "The Doomsday Machine" last night, the picture quality was AMAZING and the re-mastered special effects weren't too distracting, they fit in fairly well.
Awesome! Can't wait to watch TNG on Netflix! I love most of the Data episodes, and those involving time warps. My favorite episode is Cause and Effect, which in some ways is kind of trippy.
slightly off topic... TNG hinted at Wesley becoming something special in time/space travel, but neither the show or the movies explored it. other than Wesley sucked, why didn't they deal with that? i have been on the fence about Netflix, but i would love to watch the trek stuff again in HD.
My problem with Wesley, especially in the early episodes, was that here we were, on a ship with 1000 people trained to run the ship, and think outside the box, and this boy saves the ship for what seemed every week. Wes was like that Mary Sue fan character, except he's canon. Well, maybe not now with the new timeline, but still...
I think they are missing the animated series, but yeah, I just dumped them all in my Q. (See what I did there?) Thank God they didn't! How in the galaxy did episodes where young Wesley was being stalked by an interplanetary\ interdimensional pedophile make it through production? The way "The Traveller" disguised himself just so he could 'observe' Wesley was beyond bizarre.
