I noticed that the TFilms, especially DOTM, had a variety of STAR TREK cast members: W.M. Sheppard, Deep Roy, Robert Foxworth, Robin Atkin Downes, Tony Todd, George Coe, and of course Frank Welker and Leonard Nimoy. Then I had a curious train of thought: what if instead of STAR TREK they utilized STAR WARS cast members?

I think the following might have occurred:

    - Mark Hamill would have voiced Starscream (he said he was giving up on high-pitched voices like his epic Joker role because it took a toll on his voice, but no doubt he’d have made an awesome Starscream)

    - Ironhide would be voiced by Liam Neeson (his voice would be heard in the Matrix giving counsel in TF4)

    - Ewan McGregor would have voiced Bumblebee or Ratchet (if rumor is correct, he was actually considered for those roles)

    - Christopher Lee would have voiced the Fallen

    - Frank Oz would have voiced Jetfire (he was already a Yoda-type character anyway)

    - James Earl Jones would have voiced Sentinel Prime (the approach would be Mufasa gone bad  )

    - Jazz would be voiced by Billy Dee Williams or Sam L Jackson

    - Kenny Baker would have voiced Bumblebee :) D that might have actually improved Bumblebee)

Actually, the more I think about it the more I wish this had actually been the case, especially with Oz, Hamill and Jones.

If they'd cribbed the plot more from Star Wars, you'd have gotten something more like the '86 movie, I guess.

Leonard Nimoy is still Sentinel Prime no matter what,James Earl Jones can be the Fallen instead.

How about Matthew Wood's General Grevious as Crankcase or the Dreads instead.

    No.

That would be a waste, besides I like Tony Todd's Take and Nimoy suits Sentinel Prime way more.

Though Ideally Nimoy would be Shockwave since Shockwave was based on Spock.

Given how much voice work Mark Hamill does I'm kind of shocked when something comes out and he wasn't one of the voice actors.

For the most part, the new trilogy got dramatic actors with considerable resumes, and then proceeded to underutilize them as much as humanly possible. So we'd probably get something like Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Chip Chase in precisely one scene where he can't get up stairs or Forest Whitaker as Kremzeek.
