Can't wait for a TNG reboot with Tom Hardy as Picard and Shia LaBeouf as Riker.

So was Nemesis and look how that turned out.

Not that i'm condeming this or anything, I won't have an opinion on whether its a good idea until i've seen 11.

well, depending on your opinion, 4 out of 5 is good odds that 12 will be good. i say opinion because i thought 2, 4, 6 and First Contact were all good, but some people might disagree. then again, 3 was the exception to the rule for odd ones, and Generations wasn't too bad. 1, 5, Insurrection, and Nemesis were clunkers though.

I know Im watching 11-first trek film for me really-I seen the ones before, but how to say it, its not the same.

Im exited and willing to give a shot the reboot, but depending on how the reeboot goes, is how Ill support trek 12

2, 3, 4 are better than all the rest. And the TNG films as a whole simply were not up to the level of the OC films (5 excepted). And this has nothing to do with the shows or cast - I loved them both, but the TNG films were all fundamentally flawed.

I gotta agree with ya. First Contact is my favorite cause the Borg are awesome. Though Insurrection was decent. It would have made a better three part episode than an actual film, but it was a good story nevertheless.

I really liked that Robot Chicken episode where the cast sang opera to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan!

Now if they would only do Khan vs. Shao Kahn! ;-)

I think it's a little early to be greenlighting another movie when they don't even know if audiences are going to except the reboot yet. Oh, well. The nature of Hollywood, I suppose.

Yet again I an the only man who likes something that no one else does... Star Trek V was decent, dammit.

Mind you, after events in ST Vanguard, I'm wondering if one of the Shedai are intended to be God from that movie... one of them gets the same visual description as STV God.

I think Paramount feels it has a hit with this reboot and isn't wasting time getting the next movie into production. I don't know why, but I sense it's going to be well received by fans and critics when it comes out.

I was of the opinion before this new movie was being considered that they ought to let it fade away for a good long time and that it was too damaged a franchise. The new trailers have excited me again about Star Trek, though. Plus, I don't know if I remember seeing non-fans as interested in a Star Trek movie ever, so I'm very intrigued to see how things play out.

I think having someone like JJ Abrams involved is a good thing. A fresh set of outsider eyes to put a different spin on the franchise.

This. The only good TMP did was give us the 1701 refit.
