There is a little spoiler here for those that have not seen the latest episode, "Alpha Omega." I suspected that Star Saber might disappear soon, because no way would they let the Autobots keep such huge advantage for long, but I didn't not expect events to turn to that Megatron would gain and keep the new advantage, while nullifying Optimus's. I imagined that both swords would destroy each other. So the purpose of the Star Saber is simply being the light that brings a mega darkness into the show? Or would it come back?
I'm guessing if the Autobots gain control of the Forge of Solus Prime, they could repair the sword. I'm still a little bit disappointed that it broke though.
Me too....that it shattered seemed....impossible. It couldn't be harmed or moved from the mountainside, but it shatters in battle. Very weak ending to such a great relic. Just have to hope that Optimus will get the Forge and repair the Saber.
i beleive it will some how be regenerated, through like the power of the primes or primus or something
Maybe it was a knock-off. "Hey Prime, I didn't know the Star Saber says 'made in Kaon' on the hilt!" But, yeah if anything, I thought that Megatron's much cruder sword would have shattered. His looked like it was made out of stone compared to the Star Saber's high tech sleekness.
I have the Star Saber. I just changed it for a knockoff and I used the real Star Saber to slice Vince
I don't want them to shoehorn the Saber back in when they already broke it. I hope Optimus gets the Forge... but makes something new. I don't want them to suddenly bring back the Saber after they destroyed it. Why destroy it for no reason?
It may look like stone, but it was created by combining the power of the Forge with Dark Energon. Remember, it had taken 13 Primes to defeat Unicron, so it's safe to say Dark Energon holds a fair advantage over a single Prime relic.
It Helps give Megatron an advantage. I'll take any sort of Decepticon advantage in a show. Hey better than getting their butts kicked every day every week.
Even though Vehicons are no much for the Autobots, enough of them provides Decepticons a strong edge. No to mention their warship also is a mean of tactical advantage. So far it seems Star Saber's true purpose in TFP is serving as a message box for Alpha Trion to Optimus; and to bring its shadow or dark counterpart, the Dark Star Saber into the show. It would be so much better if both blades were broken.
seems the saber only existed in the show to homage another series outside of G1 and to allow Megatron to finally have a good enough reason to become a ghoul in order to use the forge. I'm not so upset that the sword broke, but that Megatron doesn't walk around with it (even on his back), after making such a ruckus to get it. It's like 'Oh, Optimus, you have a new sword? Well mine is better! Hey look, yours broke, guess I don't need mine anymore...' When Smokescreen dived off the side of the nemesis, Megs coulda energy waved him or something..
Energy waving Smokescreen would be energy waving the Omega Keys. Not to mention Smokey would just PhaseShifter it away anyway. I'm sure the Star Saber will come back somehow, season finales always have epic final fight, you can't get epicer than giant sword fight.
Megatron energy waved Arcee and Smokescreen in Egypt when they come from under the pyramid holding an Omega Key...so I don't see that stopping him. And I guess...that's why Smokescreen w/ phase shifter is so dumb, it makes anyone's attempt at anything futile, liek Megatron sending fliers after him...for what? They can't catch him..
I am guessing that he didnt know what they where t the time. Now that he relizes that they are the only way to revive cybertron he would be more carefull.
