According to this ad at least.

PlayStation LifeStyle Star Ocean: The Last Hope Finds a New Home

Now it literally is Mass Effect 2 holding my 360 in my apartment. Fortunately one game is enough to accomplish that when it's ME. :)

In All reality, if the price drops on the 360 version before this thing comes out at potentially-full price, then I'd still get the 360 version. I'm not made of money. Certain people ensure themselves of that.

That's pretty sweet for PS3 owners. I bet it will have new content too.

I remember being pumped for Tales of Vespria and wanting it so bad for 360 but then rumors of a PS3 version started and when it was finally announced with new content I turned into a bitter fanboy and didn't buy either version.

Where the SciFi/fantasy hybrid single-player story of Phantasy Star 4 left me, Star Ocean took over. Like I said, it's cool that both systems will have it, but if it goes down to 20-30 bucks on 360, I'm buyin it, unless the extras are a real trip to space.

Let me check Corpus first. We might go this weekend. Corpus is my old hometown, and we might go this weekend. They still have a K-mart, otherwise I might take you up on it. Thanks for offering. :)

    I'm on board.

I've got SO4 for 360 and it runs for crap, lots of freezing. I wasn't a happy camper and gave up on the game before I even finished the first disc. I also like the sound of the little improvements they made. ...though, one of these days, Japan'll learn about title updates.

The Achievements are a bitch to get in this game though.:(

I put in many hours and barely hit 50% completed.Even with 1+ full games and leveling up.

I had a feeling it'd be cross platform if I was patient. Star Ocean has been a big draw card for Sony, so the timed exclusivity makes more sense than it being exclusive indefinitely. Hopefully it'll be as much fun as I found number 3 to be, I wish my friend would give it back...

I guess I need to start waiting a year or so before buying console exclusive titles to see if they get released for the other system with new enhancements and features. I'm so backlogged it's not like I play the new ones I pick up anyway.

I got burned on Ninja Gaiden II that way, I should have known better I guess. Tales of Vesperia too. Someday I'll learn

I have no idea why anyone would want this game. really. I've seen coverage, reviews, and the CINEMAS that are an absolute pain to watch.

there's got to be something that makes people like it, right? what is it?

I'm open minded, but this... this just confuses the hell out of me, that people would want this game.

You can be open-minded and still not understand what other people see in something.

I don't know why littlebigplanet is so popular. No amount of gameplay movies or positive criticism will ever make that game look interesting to me at all ever. Same deal

Is it like SO3 or SO1/2? Cause I hated SO3 where you would DIE if you ran out of MP.

    *facepalm*

that clip has nothing to with the story.

It is a side friendship plot.

It's ok Valk, I have felt the same way about Halo for a very long time, and I'll probably never get it. But to those who enjoy it, I can definitely see the draw. Star Ocean fills in a gap that Phantasy Star left of mixing Sci Fi and Fantasy. Also, I do love the variety in characters, and the "Prime Directive" Star Trek style influence of advance species interfering with primitive cultures.
