As much As I love the Warbot Deffendor, The sword just looks so fragile I dont wanna play with it.
Which has lead me to design this little kit so my Warbot can kick some ass without fear of his sword breaking.

I wanted the swords to be oversized and have loosely based the design on the swords from final fantasy.
The swords clip round the new gun barrel, which then clips into the existing rotor slot. (wont fit on car mode but I'm not bothered about that.)

Faction badge for the chest and wreckers badge for the shoulder.

    Big hammer just for fun.

Just wanted to get some feed back before I make em up.

    All comments welcome

Looks good, but there is an official Wreckers symbol:

I like the one you have now as well, though.

Ah yeah! I might do that one on the chest.
The one I've used I took from the back of the Wreckers botcon comic. (Just inspiration, not a direct copy.)
Might make a good ranking badge.

Dude, make the logo panel reversible, so you ca either fix it on as Autobot or Wreckers according to personal preference.

I like where you are going with this. I was wondering how long before someone came up with an upgrade kit.

    Updated Wreckers badge.
I made the hammer nose slightly more raised to make it more of a feature.
Making it reversable is a good idea, but I'm having a bit of trouble making it small enough.

Looks good raised, real good. makes it a feature rather than looking like a photo shopped autobot logo.

    The designs are awesome. :thumb

I think for the swords, I'd prefer something with less holes if it's to double as the rotor blades.

The set looks lethal; great work :)

I know what you mean, I think it's a bigger issue than a lot of the reviews let on. Its a great figure but I'd prefer it to stand up!
The problem is how the feet fold up in copter mode. The only thing I can think of is a folding piece that fits underneith the front of the foot and in robot mode it folds back for more stability. ( a little extra height too)

It shouldnt take me long to crank out a simplified version. Watch this space...

Awesome. Also, since the blades are rotor blades, I think I'd like to see them just a tad longer as well.

I think the rule of thumb with "keeping it simple" would serve well here. It seems that the more detailing, etc. that's put into it would increase the cost (?) if you are to produce these. I would thing just some detailing on the blades would be sufficient and to keep them a solid piece.

I think you're doing well with thinking of the multifunctional aspect of the blades, but just keep in mind that they go to a helicopter-type vehicle as well :)

I hope my suggestions aren't coming across as harsh, but I really think you're on to something that could be very successful for you and make a lot of people who bought Defender happy :)

No problem, I welcome the constructive critisism.

The span of the blades has been increased quite a lot over the original.
The original has a diameter of 157mm. Mine has a diameter of 220mm.

The ammount of detail isnt an issue as it was modeled to has 2 lines of draw, but it'll be nice to get a balance between more realistic copter blades and something more cybertronian. (I never thought of Springer to have earth based modes, but thats just me.)

Update: simplified the design, removed the holes but kept a level of detail.

I'm wondering wether this design could also be used for universe blades???
