I like LP. Kiss my Balls. I like Stan too. Cheesy or not, you were fucking singing it when you were little. And you probably still do when no one is watching. I still listen to his Bot Con CD from time to time.

They're both awesome but completely different, like kittens and warm freshly-baked muffins.

    Neither.

Stan is a poor soul that had to build his entire modern career on a random jig he did for a 80's kids movie that bombed.

Linkin Park isn't even Transformers, they got chosen for film credits, that it's, but the whole musical presence of the films should be credit to Steve Jablonsky.

I still throw on the 1986 TF soundtrack or score, but then I also own a few Linkin Park albums. I don't mind either. Both do what they do okay. I actually quite liked the stuff that was on the PS2 Armada game. Seemed like a happy medium between the old 1986 stuff and the Linkin Park in BayFormers.

I like Linkin Park performing songs for the TF movies.

Stan Bush is okay, don't get me wrong. But his music just doesn't fit with the live-action movies.

As much as I love Linkin Park being in TFs, Jablonsky absolutely should get all the credit for the amazing score in the movies (particularly the first one). I too get choked up at the Autobot arrival scene and a big part of that is due to the music.

But many of us are relics of a cheesy pretentious 1980's franchise...

I'll take Hybrid Theory era Linkin Park over the garbage they write these days. I don't mind Stan Bush's stuff on the old soundtrack but it's in a nostalgic cheesy way, not in a 'I think he's a great musician and writes good songs' way.

I'd be in for that too! But I think we would need some darker electronic bands, too. Maybe someone like Nitzer Ebb :)

While I'm not a Linkin Park fan I've always been a proponent of the old addage, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The melodies tend to mesh well with Jablonsky's work, and I wouldn't pick anyone over Jablonsky as the composer. Linkin Park seems to be consistent with making songs that establish a rock/pop radio presence for the Transformers movies, and I'm all for that.
