I saw this and nearly fell out of my chair. I looks like Stan Bush is working on a new song to present to the production team for the new movie. How awesome would it be to have Stan do another song.. I bet it won't happen, just doesn't seem like Bay's style. But it would be great. I love his work, "Hold Your Head Up High" is my favorite non-TF song of his. Credit goes to Seibertron.

Personally, I think it should be called "You've Still Got the Touch".

It'd be nice if he could do a remix of the theme song to go with the credits, though I doubt I'd want it in the movie itself.

Coldplay? Me Grimlock say no way!

...don't ask why I just slipped into Grimlock....

    Anyway, Bay/Hasbro/Paramount/whomever, if you're listening:

    1. Stan Bush
    2. Vince DiCola
    3. Weird Al
    4. Tony Bacala
    5. The Minibosses
    6. The Advantage
    7. The Clarks (they're a Pittsburgh band that yinz should check out: http://www.clarksonline.com) or http://www.myspace.com/theclarks
    8. Powerman 5000
    9. Bush - "Machine Head"
    10. Beastie Boys - "Intergalactic"
    11. Foo Fighters
    12. Green Day
    13. MC Frontalot
    14. MC Hawking
    15. Audioslave

That's all I can think of. I know it needs a little more hip-hop, but I can't think of anything appropriate.

Am I the only one that thinks this news is A) completely lame, and B) probably a load of BS?

Something tells me that no one involved with this movie tracked down a no-name like Stan Bush - whose only pseudo claim to fame is some bad 80's rock ballads from a cartoon movie - and asked him to do a track for the live action film. Hundred bucks says that this guy is writing new songs *in hopes* of getting them in the film, but in the end, will only appear on his MySpace page.

If I'm wrong, I'll proudly admit it. But this news just seems to be TOO much of a reach by someone likely wanting to relive his hair-rock glory days again.

I don't know about that, but I like Stan Bush's music on the original soundtrack. I'd totally be excited if one of his songs made it into the movie.

Reminds me of when a song is nominated for an Academy Award, for a movie where you go "That film had a song !?!". Later you discover the song only played over the end credits you didn't watch in the theater.

THAT's where I guess the Stan Bush music feature might go.

It would be a nice nod, but it doesn't seem like it would fit with this movie.

But if this is remotely true, I would at least like to hear what he came up with.

Anybody know what Lion and NRG have been up too lately? :)

Actually, I'm hoping we just get an orchestral score and one that isn't "dated" by anything remotely current.

The original source doesn't actually state anything about Bush actually being asked to provide anything... only that he and his producer are submitting something.

There's a big difference between the two things.

bear in mind Stan didn't actually write 'the touch' or 'dare' Vince Dicola did, Stan just sang them.

Eh, I wouldnt mind a cameo of his music. Maybe playing on the radio in a scene or something. But as actual movie music? Pass. The day of the power ballad is dead. Let it remain so. :D

    Bring Back Hair Metal!

But seriously, I think the movie needs a soundtrack that is heavy hitting, though not in a way that comes off as "cheesy". They should have some fun with it though, it is a movie based on toys after all.
