Hello all! my newest plan is to make a transformer with the alt mode of a SR-71(Blackbird) and the robot mode of a Dragon.
It will be acompined by a Lockheed D-21 recon drone with a humaniod robot mode. i hope to have something to show very soon.

Susgestions of any kind are welcome.

    Wip pics up.

The G1 transformer Snapdragon comes to mind and would fit with the basic design elements that your trying to do as far as the dragon bot. Not really sure about the drone though, maybe one of the Energon superion jets like Terrordive heavily modified.

I think he meant you could make it a Crossover version of this guy from Marvel since he's a dragon.

Which is an incredibly goofy that I actually like. But probably not what your going for.

Yeah, that'd be what he meant.
Overlord's right (good thinking, by the way); Snapdragon's certainly a handy potental bit of reference for you, as he already turns into a godzilla-style reptile, and his jet mode is very reminiscent of an SR-71.

Snapdragon would work, aye. It's not like he'd need a robot mode if his binary-bonded partner Spasma was turned into the drone jet. Not so much a headmaster, but you know what I mean.

Make Snapdragon out of a GI Joe Night raven. That would be awesome. I have an idea dor the matchbox vertech. I will be making it fully transformable and it is going to be painted like a GI Joe Skystriker. I think it also fits GI Joe size figures. So it will be another crossover if it does. Now I just gotta find a Vertech loose cheaply.

    Spasma was Apeface's partner.

That looks awesome; definite Sky Lynx vibe going on. Is that Neoshifter bits you're usine for the skeleton?

I'm a hair concerned that the rear 'ankle' section (the long thin rod) sits a bit close to therest of the skeleton in jet mode, so I'm wondering how much space you've got to bulk them out. I daresay that's not a real issue though, it looks pretty flexible.

    Fantastic work so far. :D

I just hope you can beef up his legs before its done. :)  I've wanted to make a custom character SR-71 for a long time, just I'd like mine to be humanoid.

This is wicked! When I saw the WIP pics I screamed out loud 'Sky Lynx!' I'm really digging this. It's like a Classics Sky Lynx, and without that weird transport/lynx... thing. I love it.

If it is Sky Lynx you're going for, any possibility of adding a prehensile tail in there at all? That would be icing on the cake. If not Sky Lynx, then I guess all of that would be moot. :p

Im not sure who i want him to be at this point, im torn between Sky Lynx or someone new. If i put in a tail it will probably be really thin if i can get it to fit under there, the bottom is a lot more kibbley then i planed.
Im working on bulking the legs and body up with parts from the Sr-71 kit. most of the parts are from bionicles.
a local hobby shop cant remember the name off the top of my head, it was the last one.

Theres some more wip pics up, work is slow. i cant decide what kind of feet i want what do u guys think?

I like the foot you've got at the front right, but I also like the front left one. maybe the right one for the rear legs and the left one for the front for the blade-claws?

And I definitely think it should be a new character. :D

I say make him a Decepticon. As a spy jet I think he fits them a little better.

The orange leg with the 2 toes looks the best to me, very Skylynx-ish though, nice
