i went to see thor in 3d and imax and noticed somthing in the dotm trailer, when the astronouts go into the ship, the sputnik is on the floor covered in dust. anyone else notice it? do you think it will have any plot signifigance, or will it just be an easter egg for people who watch closly?

Do you know the specific time in the trailer that you saw it?
Edit: Never mind, I saw the above post

That does look like Sputnik though

I just realized something....One of the guys in the clip (at the 55 second mark) the guy with the grayish balding head of hair with his arm on the counter/desk/table/whatever it is...was the guy who played Shia's dad on Even Stevens way back when!!!

Assuming I'm looking in the right place, it just looks like a piece of rubble from the Ark.

Well it looks like him but I can't find proof that it is...maybe he's uncredited for the part and that's why I can't find it lol.

the theater trailer(couldent find the right cut one on youtube easily) had it pan for about a second more, and it was fairly perfectly round. it would have to be a big coincidence that a sphere would fall off and have 3 prongs sticking straight up to. maybe you were looking at the wrong place though, so its in the middle of the screen, bottom half of the screen, right next to the closest to the ship astronouts leg
