I hope they're right and I am pleasantly surprised. I most often find myself liking their stuff after seeing it, and finding my fears were unfounded.

That being said, they sure make me afraid a lot. As long as the prowl/kup story is continuing, and not wrapped up prematurely in this issue, I'll be pleased. If they wrap it up here just 'cause they regret starting it at all it'll be bad.

Looks promising, and I love the artwork. Hopefully, the Kup thing will come into play or at least mentioned.

I missed E.J. Su's art. He's probably one of the most versatile and consistently good TF artists around.

Man I know this is a trivial point, and I've been willing to over look it for a long time, because Prowl is one of my favorite TF designs, BUT,,,,

    Police unit 350Z's?
    In the United States?
With Nismo Parts? (spoilers, cold air intakes, etc)

I know government spending is out of control, but COME ON! This would NEVER fly!

How do you put a perp in the back of a two door,,,, oh wait IT'S ONLY A TWO SEATER!!!

1984 Prowl was okay because Japan used Datsun (Nissan) interceptors for Highway Patrol. And occasionally in the US we have some odd duck special purpose cars (like Mustang LX's in the mid 90's)

But a WHOLE Department of 350Z's is just too much to swallow. (And Streetwise, who we've yet to see in robot mode, is also undercover with Prowl at one point)

I love Prowl, but man they've got to release a version of him as something more realistic,,, Like a Dodge Charger, Pontiac G8, Interceptor Mustang or Crown Vic.

Comic book about 30 foot tall alien robots, and he want's to complain about realism?

Does anyone know if this is the begining of a new series of spotlights or if this will just be a one of?

I'd prefer to wait for the tpb, but if it's just a one off, I'll buy the single issue instead.

I've always seen Prowl as a Highway Patrol car so he might not need to carry perps/suspects/witnesses - they'd call for a wagon if they needed to arrest someone.

It does come across as a bit bizarre if you think of the Transformers living in Portland Oregon, but It's Ok for California, or Utah or Navada more I think.

The 4 doors are more of a city sort of thing to me.... there was a more city like Prowl in Spychanger form - im not sure that's ideal for international sales - but someone once made a concept paint scheme for a Prowl using the Cybertron Downshift mold that was Ok I suppose.

What is the excuse for the difference in personality then ?
(Since if I buy anymore Transformers comics it would only be Trade paperbacks).

    Ej Su's art is brilliant.

Nick Roche's art is very loose and characterful while Ej Su's tends to apply more technical and graphic qualities. I know its been said before but I think its fantastic that IDW has allowed so many fantastic artists to produce their own specific interpretations of the franchise as opposed to holding them down to one specific 'house style'.

:thumbs2:  Cant wait to read these!

The best part, is I keep imagining a following panel, where Optimus backhands Hot Rod across the room.
