Is anyone as excited as I am about this game?
Yeah. There's been a couple of threads on it in the past few months. There's some great videos of it out there.
The only thing that has me disappointed is that it isn't multiplayer. A player vs player creature battle would be so awesome.
I thought it was massively multiplayer? If you're talking about one-on-one evolution matchups, then yeah, I guess that'd be a bit of a letdown.
I remember on Attack of the Show, Perera was enterviewing Robin Williams. Williams is buddies with Will Wright and he let him try out Spore. He said he made a creature that actually broke the game.
Well, it sort of is. The way I understand it:
You make a creature, and at various intervals, your creature is uploaded to the Spore online database. Furthermore, your planet is as well. When it comes time to start a new game, the game will draw upon creatures from that online database and populate your new game with them. When you start going interplanetary, the game will populate your universe with worlds downloaded from the Spore server.
Hence, given millions of users across the globe, each time you play SHOULD be a unique experience with different creatures/planets.
If my 4 year old laptop can somehow run it, I am DEFINITELY getting Spore.
Theres actually a very funny video from E3 of when he actually did that!
I can't wait to get this game!...
I don't know. How excited are you?
I'm still waiting to see if I will be able to make a creature that isn't goofy looking. Or forced along a certain civilization development.
I'm lookin forward to this game, lets just hope we dont need a teletran 1 like puter to run it.
I've rarely been let down by Mr. Wright, and my experiences with the "Sim" games goes back to the original SinCity on my old IBM.
I've got high hopes for this, I just hope I'm not let down.
